The Hills have a new cast member and it’s none other than Audrina Patridge’s new boytoy, Ryan Cabrera!

The musician was spotted filming scenes last Friday at Hollywood hotspot La Vida “for about an hour at a secluded table on the patio,” E! News reports.

While Cabrera hasn’t officially signed a contract, his rep confirmed to E! that he will indeed appear on the new season.

It’s only a matter a time before Ryan’s cast as a season regular because let’s face it, dude’s music career has been “on the way down” for awhile now!

Surprisingly, Ryan isn’t a new man in Audrina’s life — they actually dated several years ago!

Hmm, pre or post Ashlee Simpson?!

The former couple rekindled their romance in January and it’s been smooth sailing ever since! They’ve been spotted all over Los Angeles together and most recently, were seen canoodling while vacationing in Mexico in February.

“Ryan is a great guy,” a pal tells Us. “Audrina is having fun!”

We hope R-Cab is able to fill Audrina’s Justin Bobby void, but we don’t think she should get too attached because Ryan has a thing for cheating!

He made his first MTV reality debut back when he was dating Ashlee Simpson. Looks like Ryan Cabrera is returning to the network and could score cameos on The Hills as Audrina Patridge’s new BF!

Recently, the hot new duo was spotted holding hands at the Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort and Spa in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Audrina had spent New Year’s at the resort, and brought Cabrera back just three weeks later.

The couple had apparently dated several years ago, and recently rekindled their old flame, reports Us Weekly.

Before their trip to Cabo, the two were spotted getting cozy at Rock of Ages on Broadway in NYC on Jan. 17. “Ryan is a great guy,” a friend says. “Audrina is having fun!”

Thank goodness she’s finally moved on past Justin Bobby! Homeboy was a trainwreck…

When Ryan Cabrera rolled into Underground nightclub in Chicago on Friday night he wasn’t what most of the girls were expecting. Hordes of dancing fans, probably expecting the clean cut and spikey haired Ashlee Simpson ex, were instead greeted with a long haired rocker.

Cabrera just released his third album, The Moon Under Water, so The Boots Girls sat down with him for a quick interview about it, ex Ashlee Simpson and what it was like dating Ashlee with her controlling father Joe Simpson.

When we let Cabrera know that Ashlee and her current hubby Pete Wentz were in town he didn’t seem surprised by the news. “Yeah I heard,” he shrugged. We asked if they were going to see each other and if they’re still friends and Ryan told us, “We don’t really talk on the phone or anything like that, but we’re friends.”

Cabrera told us that Joe Simpson is still his manager and he “never had any problems with him” when he was dating Ashlee. “He’s a cool guy,” Ryan said.

We asked Ryan if he had any well-wishes for Ashlee regarding her pregnancy. “Sure. Good luck,” Cabrera simply responded.

He’s clearly moved on from his Ashlee Simpson days, breaking out of his teeny bop look and happily dating girlfriend Riley Keough for the last couple years. There have been rumors lately that they were on-again off-again but Cabrera assured us that they “are definitely dating” and are both “really excited for Lisa Marie to have her twins.”

Keough is the 19 year-old daughter of Lisa Marie Presley and the oldest grandchild of Elvis and Priscilla Presley.

Curious about his new album? We asked Ryan what to expect and he said, “You’ll just have to listen to it for yourself. It’s like nothing I’ve done before.”

Well wishes are already pouring in for Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz who recently announced their engagement.

Simpson’s older sister Jessica told Usmagazine.com, “My sister is overflowing with joy. Pete is an incredible soul. They naturally bring out the best in each other. I couldn’t be happier.”

Ashlee’s ex-boyfriend Ryan Cabrera even had some nice things to say about Ashlee’s new fiance.

“I like him a lot — I think they’re really good together. I met him a couple times, and he was really nice and intelligent, so I was like, ‘Very cool, go for it!’” Cabrera said.

On Shar: “Shar was very sweet and had a charm about her…..I wanted to make a 12th baby with her.”

On Ryan: “[He] looked like Johnny Depp’s little step brother, but he was very cool and his Abby Road Beatles’ tattoo made me think about ink for the first time.”

On 50 Cent: “[50] was stand-off-ish saying it wasn’t his thing…. then I explained that the stones (on the Rock Band) had powers, he was interested then. He picked opalite which is the psychic stone and he asked if he would have abilities….I said how is your fake Jamaican accent if this rap thing doesn’t work I have Dion Warrwick’s cell number. They are always looking for new friends at the network.”
