Lauren Conrad tells Seventeen magazine that her days of being a push-over are DUNZO!
The former Hills star opened up to the teen mag about her past relationships while filming for her hit reality show and how they were everything but great!
“I knew back back then [that] I was being cheated on,” she admits in the March issue of Seventeen magazine.
Hmm, so who might she be referring to? While LC wouldn’t names names, we can only guess it’d be one of her former reality-TV boyfriends, which include low-life Jason Wahler, Ste-phen Colletti and Boots Girls’ fave, Brody Jenner. She must’ve been infatuated with their good looks and boyish charm, because Conrad admits to ignoring their cheating ways.
“I overlooked it,” she says.
Since ditching reality-TV, Conrad had learned how to put her foot down when it comes to douche bag cheaters!
“The more confident me has come to the point where I’ve finally realized it’s not something that everyone does. It’s not okay to have your guy hook up with someone else. You deserve more.”
While filming for The Hills in 2008, Conrad began dating My Boys actor Kyle Howard, but chose to keep that part of her life away from the cameras. “By the time I had met Kyle, I had already perfected my ‘double life,’” she explains. “There was my TV life and my real life,” she explains.
While Kyle may not be as hot as Lauren’s former flings, at least he knows how to treat a girl!
“We had a double episode last night and it was the highlight of my week. It was awesome,” Lauren admitted. And on her old series, The Hills which is rapidly losing viewers, Lauren said, “I actually haven’t seen it since I left [in spring 2009].”
And while Lauren is now a fashion designer and bestselling author, she’s never too busy to catch her favorite new show. In fact, she was able to give a fully detailed recap of the most recent action-packed episode. “There was this one part, where Ronnie hits the guy and they don’t really get the hits but he like knocks him cold. He knocks him out and he runs away and just walks away and he’s all, ‘one shot kid.’ And the guy is out!”
And of the entire cast, Lauren singles out Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, saying, “I have a love-hate [relationship] with The Situation. I’m like, ‘you are not that cool but then I am like, ‘Uuugh you are so entertaining!’ I really like JWoww just because she can throw a punch.”
JWoww is our favorite too. She seems the most normal and drama-free, but the bad-ass bitch can FOR SURE throw a mean punch!
Will some of Lauren Conrad’s fellow Hills stars be making an appearance in her upcoming L.A. Candy movie?
Though MTV reports may indicate so, there is no truth behind the rumor!
“I jokingly said, ‘Oh, Lo is going to star in it,’” Conrad told Usmagazine.com Tuesday at Lucky magazine and Madewell’s Fall 2009 Denim Tour in Hollywood. “People reported that Lo was going to star in the movie, and I was totally kidding!”
Thank God! The only thing these Hills girls are good at is acting like catty bitches!
Conrad told Us that she is “excited” to be an executive producer. “It’s my new hat,” she said. “I like hats, and I get to wear lots of them!”
Wow! Look at LC being all witty… that’s definitely a first! Looks like leaving The Hills may have given this chick an actual personality!
Never in her dreams did Conrad thing her first-time novel would ever be turned into a movie.
“I was just hoping that the book did well,” she said. “It’s a little surreal, but it’s cool!”
Definitely exciting and all but girl shouldn’t get too giddy because we honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it went straight to DVD!
Props to Lauren though for being the only sensible person from that fake-ass show! She appears to be the only one with enough common sense to realize one can’t live the rest of their life on reality-TV…
Although Lauren Conrad’s stint on MTV’s The Hills has been over since May, has the former star of the show been keeping up with the new season?
When asked by a reporter at the 6th Annual Hollywood Style Awards in L.A. Sunday night if she’s been tuning it, Conrad said, “I haven’t,” according to OK! Magazine.
Though Conrad may have narrated the show before, there’s a new bitch running The Hills drama now and that’s LC’s former high school rival Kristin Cavallari! The season is only two episodes in and of course the blondie has been smack dab in the middle of EVERYTHING!
“I always tended to kind of, you know, stay away from that,” she says of controversy. “I tried to just be in the background.”
You’re right girl, you’ve always been the boring one!
While LC’s buddies are still pretending to be real, she’s moved onto bigger and better things, such as her new clothing line which just debuted at Kohls stores.
“It’s really exciting!” she says. “I think that there’s always a lot of pressure and build up to the launch, and when it does well it’s just such a relief.”
“I’ve moved on from just the stress of having to film and promote a show, to book deadlines and promoting clothing lines, so it’s just different, but it’s nice,” she adds.
As if we don’t get enough LA drama from The Hills, Lauren Conrad just snagged a film deal for her book, L.A. Candy.
Temple Hill Entertainment recently gained the screening rights to the novel that’s been on the New York Times bestseller list for 14 weeks.
The book follows a 19-year-old girl named Jane Roberts who moves to Hollywood and finds fame as a reality star. Hmm… sounds familiar.
“Lauren, who became an icon in that reality show world, came to us with a structure of how to tell the story in an interesting fashion that was separate and apart from the book,” Temple Hill producer Marty Bowen said. “We loved her take. Her book is an honest portrayal of what it must be like to set out to be normal, then sign on to become famous and eventually realize, wow, this isn’t at all what I’d planned for myself.”
Additionally, Lauren will take the role of executive producer on her film.
Reality star, best selling author and executive producer all at 23? Damn Lauren… we’re impressed!
So, who’s raking in the most moolah on MTV’s The Hills?
Although it’s only her first season, Kristin Cavallari earns $90,000 an episode!
Seems excessive right? Well, according to figures reported by the Daily Beast, Aurdrina Patridge and “Lo” Bosworth both earn $100,00 per episode!
As for Speidi, Heidi Montag nets $100,000 as well, but Spencer Pratt only gets $65,000.
And after discovering that Lauren Conrad made a whopping $125,000 an episode, we wonder why she ever left the show! She even had in her contract that no other character could match her salary.
Finally, poor Brody Jenner earns the least at $45,000 a show.
Essentially, these idiots earn thousands upon thousands of dollars for walking around, being their stupid selves while a camera follows them. Seriously?! It’s not like we’re in a recession or anything…
When it comes to reality drama, enough is enough. Lauren Conrad has starred in two “reality” series and for her… that’s enough!
Apparently, MTV has offered the retired-Hills star a Newlyweds-style reality show if she and her current boyfriend, Kyle Howard get engaged, reports In Touch Weekly.
However, when Usmagazine.com confronted Conrad about the tabloid rumor, she simply replied “no”, in addition to admitting it’s been “nice” not having the cameras follow her anymore.
She added that she most likely will not be watching the sixth season of The Hills, stating that, “when you’ve been a part of a show, it’s different to watch. It takes the entertainment factor out of it.”
CLEARLY, this girl is done with the reality show lifestyle. Additionally, she never even showed off her BF on The Hills so why would she make a show out of their relationship?! Based on previous couples that have debuted their unions, success is not an option when you exploit your personal-life on MTV. So good job Lauren, way to live and learn!
What’s the WEIRDEST thing Audrina Patridge has ever heard about herself?!
“That I have chin implants, cheek implants, a nose job … God, everything,” she tells the most recent issue of Maxim.
And, not only is her body constantly being judged, but her love life is scrutinized too.
“I took my brother out one night, and he was my boyfriend the next day,” says the Hills star, who is back together with on-again-off-again BMX BF Corey Bohan. “I went out with a cousin another night, then he was my boyfriend. Someone also said I was pregnant with somebody’s love child. I was like, ‘Do I look pregnant?’”
Also in the interview, Audrina talked about her buddies from The Hills.
“I barely talk to Lauren,” she says of Conrad, who left the show last season. “We’ll text every now and then, but that’s about it.”
As for newlywed Heidi Montag? “Heidi, um, keeps asking me to go to Bible study with her,” she says.
Haha, awkward…
Additionally, Audrina dished on why now it’s her time to leave the reality drama.
“You know, it’s just something that I felt inside,” she says. “I’m an adult now, and I don’t need all the petty drama and drinking and fighting. I’ve done that, and I’m ready to move on.”
She is however working on her own reality series and says it will be much different than The Hills.
“It’s a behind-the-scenes look at my life in L.A. — the movies and shoots and parties. It’s not as glamorous as it appears, plus it’ll actually feature people I know,” says the Sorority Row star. “It’s, like, real.”
Ha, our guess is that it’s probably just about as “real” as The Hills…
Among many other celebs, Jessica Simpson and boyfriend Tony Romo showed up at the Staples Center to watch the LA Lakers defeat the Orlando Magic, 100-74.
The crowd went crazy as Kobe Bryant and his boys dominated the court. Other celebs in attendance included Leonardo Dicaprio with buddies Kevin Connolly and Tobey Maguire. Also, Lauren Conrad got cozy with boyfriend Kyle Howard, while Sophia Bush enjoyed an ice cold court-side beer.
Crazy Jack Nicholson was there too, with his butt glued to his seat and his eyes glued on the court. He could easily be considered Kobe’s number one fan.
Lauren Conrad never really liked Kristin Cavallari so she’s really not surprised her Hills co-stars don’t like her either!
“I think she is just very opinionated and that’s how she has always been,” Conrad told Usmagazine.com at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, adding that she’s already “gotten a few emails” about her replacement.
So what advice did she give her friends when dealing with the drama queen?
“You know, it’s the same as dealing with anybody. I said, ‘Be yourself.’ That’s all you can do.”
Audrina Patridge has made comments in the past about how she and Kristin don’t totally get along. And now Stephanie Pratt is expressing her dislike for her too!
“We are not really fans of her,” Pratt told Us on Sunday. “She doesn’t want to be friends with us. She wants to bring her acting skills to The Hills and yell at all of us.”
She continued by saying, “I have no idea why she doesn’t like us. I actually just had lunch with Lo [Bosworth] the other day, and we were just talking about how crazy this is. She was telling me some interesting things about her in high school.”.
Despite the drama, Frankie Delgado told Us that Kristin will bring “her little perkiness” to the show.
“I think it’s going to bring a whole new different life to the show,” he said. “I think with Lauren it was her story. Now it’s time to bring in somebody else’s story.”
Kristin, he added, “is just full of energy. You never know what to expect from her. We have shot twice with her and both times it was drama!”
Even Brody Jenner, Kristin’s ex, is excited to have her join the show!
“Kristin and me get along just fine. They don’t like Kristin because she brings so much drama. I think it’s great.”
