LC Hits The Windy City!

Unlike several other MTV-made reality stars, Lauren Conrad hopped a flight into Chicago’s winter-wonderland early Thursday morning, paying a visit to DePaul’s Barnes and Noble.

As the last stop on her tour, Conrad spoke to an eager audience to promote her latest book, endorsement deal with Mark, and current social issues.

Her lecture — which is dedicated to helping to stop violence in relationships — drew a very large crowd of female fans, leaving our very own Boots Boy in the minority!

In addition to speaking on this important cause, Conrad also had the opportunity to design a few pieces of jewelry for the company. All proceeds from her designs go to an organization to help women in violent relationships.

Unfortunately, LC wasn’t to eager to discuss details on her personal life. However, her publicist asked a few questions regarding life after The Hills.

“It’s nice, more relaxed, and I spend a lot less time on what I look like,” Conrad explained.

She continued to talk about the Mark makeup line and answered a rehearsed set of questions, which she conspicuously read straight from a sheet of paper.

During the meet-and-greet, fans were disappointed to find that The Hill’s star wouldn’t be posing for photos but rather only signing copies of her book.

However, despite the lack of photo opportunity and deep secret dishing, LC made sure her visit was not a complete loss for her die-hard fans.

“I was upset we couldn’t pose with her, but she is here promoting a very good cause and is very sweet when you go up to meet her! She look’s so pretty in person, almost fake,” a fan exclaimed.

And while we agree she was very sweet in person, we couldn’t help but notice the shameless promotion for her newest novel, Sweet Little Lies! So while it appeared she was selflessly promoting a great cause, we believe she was really there to rank up the $$$ in book sales. Greedy little bitch!

We did get a chance to briefly chat with Lauren about her buddy Frankie Delgado and spilled the beans that he missed her holiday party to get his drink on at Chicago hotspot Manor!

“So that’s where he was!” she said.

Uhh, duh! Why spend the holiday’s with LC when you could spend it in Chi-Town with the one and only Boots Boy?!

Frankie definitely had the right idea!
