Parade magazine featured 18 celebrities such as Oprah, Carrie Underwood and Ryan Seacrest in their What People Earn salary survey.

When the celebs were compared to the 112 regular people who participated it turns out the celebs made a staggering 100 times more!

Did anyone else notice that there’s a DOG in the mix that’s earning $12 million? WTF!

Dr. Phil appeared on The View today, coincidently enough the same morning that Britney Spears was taken to the hospital for the second time this month.

Spears is being held on a “5150″ which allows hospital personnel to keep her there for up to 72 hours because she has been found to be a danger to herself and/or others. However, there’s a possibility that it could be extended for up to 14 days.

When asked if he was surprised to hear that Spears had been taken to the hospital again Dr. Phil replied, “Well, frankly no. I don’t think it surprises anybody. All I’ve ever tried to do is help in this situation. I’ve always felt like and had offered to the family to help to get her into the hands of the right kind of professionals.”

“If that starts on the road to getting some intervention then that’s a good thing,” Dr. Phil added.

Regarding the controversy surrounding his visit to Spears last time she was in the hospital Dr. Phil said, “How can you not help when a fellow parent calls?” He was of course referring to the call he got from Spears’ mom, Lynne Spears.

I wouldn’t sit by the phone waiting for it to ring this time Dr. Phil!

Spears family spokesman Lou Taylor appeared on the “Today” show this morning and stated that the Spears had never planned on doing a show with Dr. Phil.

“It was decided it would be detrimental to ever do that,” said Taylor. She went on to describe Dr. Phil’s request for such a show in the first place to be “self-serving.”

Duh!

Taylor confirmed that the Spears family had requested Dr. Phil pay Britney a visit while she was at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. However, they were not expecting him to make a public statement about his visit.

“He was not invited to make this part of a public display or part of the media,” said Taylor.

“What’s wrong with Dr. Phil’s statement is that he made a statement. The family, basically, extended an invitation of trust for him to come in as a resource to support them, not to go out and make public statements,” added Taylor.

Dr. Phil is losing a lot of credibility and a lot of fans quickly! His true colors are shining through.

Dr. Phil has posted a statement on his website concerning the whole Britney Spears drama:

“As was widely reported this weekend, at the request of concerned family members, I visited Britney Spears in the hospital. The details of that visit will, of course, remain private.

“We had planned to tape a ‘Dr. Phil Now’ show today, focusing not on the tabloid side of Britney’s latest problems, but instead on the very serious issues surrounding this case. Clearly, it is not just Britney’s family struggling to find a way to protect adult children who cannot be ordered or compelled to seek help.
 
“Because the Spears situation is too intense at this time, and out of consideration to the family, I have made the decision not to move forward with the taping at this particular time.

“Britney and her family are in our prayers, and we ask that they be in yours.”

Funny how Dr. Phil says HE made the decision not to move forward with the taping. It wasn’t his personal decision! The Spears family backed out and without them there is no taping. Nice try doctor.

TMZ.com just reported that Jamie Spears has officially backed out of taping “The Dr. Phil Show” today.

No word yet from Lynne Spears, but I’m sure we’ll hear something soon!
