Britney Spears is dishing out the cash to have her kids close while on her upcoming tour.
TMZ.com is reporting that Brit, K-Fed and Jamie Spears have been negotiating a plan to let Sean Preston and Jayden James travel with Brit while on tour. The plan is to have homes in three bases, which include New Orleans, Los Angeles and New Jersey were the boys would live while Brit commuted back and forth.
Apparently Brit will pay K-Fed thousands of dollars per week if he agrees to this plan, and he doesn’t even have to show up in the city they’re currently in.
Umm Brit, then who will be watching your children?
Sounds to us that Brit is just paying Federline to agree with her, but we do give her props for doing whatever it takes to be close to her boys.
Brit also mentioned that if something can’t be worked out she’ll cancel the tour.
We’re sure the duo will be heading to court over this one, as it seems to be the only place they agree on things.
A court commissioner increased Britney Spears’ dad’s monthly salary for handling her business and personal affairs.
Jamie Spears will now be paid about $16,000 a month - that’s up from the $10 grand he had been receiving. He’ll also get back pay for work he’s already done as the pop singer’s conservator.
On top of that, he’s also getting another $1,200 a month so that he can rent an office. Spears’ brother Bryan was awarded a lump sum of $200,000 for work he did for Britney before the conservatorship was put in place.
It must be strange to have all your family members on your payroll!
Britney Spears took off today with her father and her two young sons for an early holiday pilgramage to her hometown of Louisiana.
Around 10:30 a.m. Friday, the pop star and her young boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James, boarded a private plane at an airport in Van Nuys, Calif., where they flew with the pop star’s papa, Jamie Spears, to good old Kentwood, according to OK!.
This trip marks not only the first time that young Jayden will get to see Serenity, the family home in Kentwood, but also the first time since ex-husband Kevin Federline was awarded physical custody of the boys that Britney has been able to take them out of state.
Insiders told the magazine that the reason for the trip is twofold. First, so that Britney can have some quiet family time away from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood before the release of her new album, Circus, on her 27th birthday (Dec. 2).
Second, is so Sean and Jayden get the chance to meet their cousin Maddie, the baby daughter of Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge.
Aw! We hope the whole Spears family has a peaceful and special trip!
A court ruled yesterday that Britney Spears’ father has permanent legal control of his pop star daughter.
Jamie Spears was appointed conservatorship over his daughter in February and it was set to expire on Dec. 31.
However, after a lengthy closed-chambers meeting Tuesday and evaluation of her mental health records, Spears’ court-appointed attorney told the court commissioner that the singer had no objections with her father remaining in control.
“The court finds the proposed permanent conservatorship is necessary and appropriate [because of the] complexities of her financial and business entities and also potential for her being susceptible to influences,” Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz, who has been presiding over the case, said yesterday.
This is good news! Spears has been doing so well with her father in control of her affairs and it looks like it will stay this way.
Mother of the year wannabe Lynn Spears is admitting in her new tell all book that she made mistakes in raising her children.
Lynn exclusively tells People.com, in reference to her book Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World, “Every mother makes mistakes, and I’m no different.”
She goes on to chronicle the trying times that hot mess Britney publicly went through and describes 17-year-old Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy as, ” probably the hardest time in my life.”
Just as Brit was working on her relationship with her mother, she goes and publishes this book. We can’t imagine this is going to help their already rocky relationship.
Britney Spears and her father Jamie had a quiet celebratory dinner Saturday night at Mastro’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills. Earlier that day Britney had her first visit with her kids since her very public breakdown and institutionalization over 7 weeks ago.
Spears has been granted provisional visitation rights again thanks to a deal hacked out between her legal representation and K-Fed’s attorney, Mark Kaplan. I’m sure it also helped that Federline’s gone on the record saying he wants Britney to be a part of the children’s life.
On again-off again boyfriend Adnan Ghalib stopped by Britney’s Summit home after she and her dad got home from dinner.
Britney Spears appears to be walking down the road to recovery with help from good ‘ole dad! The father-daughter duo spent some quality time together last night over dinner at Social in Hollywood.
After learning of their daughter’s release from UCLA Medical Center Britney Spears’ parents issued this statement:
“As parents of an adult child in the throws (sic) of a mental health crisis, we were extremely disappointed this morning to learn that over the recommendation of her treating psychiatrist, our daughter Britney was released from the hospital that could best care for her and keep her safe. We are deeply concerned about our daughter’s safety and vulnerability and we believe her life is presently at risk. There are conservatorship orders in place created to protect our daughter that are being blatantly disregarded. We ask only that the court’s orders be enforced so that a tragedy may be averted.”
Britney Spears is required to stay hospitalized at UCLA Medical Center for another 14 days. The decision was made solely by the hospital today to keep her for further evaluation and didn’t involve any courts.
Speaking of court, Spears’ attorneys Trope and Trope are expected to make an appearance in court tomorrow to argue that Jamie Spears be removed as Britney’s conservator.
According to TMZ, the Trope firm does not object to a conservatorship for Britney, they just want to replace Jamie with someone else because Britney “feels hatred” and has bitter feelings towards her father.
Britney’s dad, Jamie Spears, was granted temporary conservatorship over her today by a Los Angeles court decision. This means that Jamie has power over her entire estate, business and liquid assets among many things, since it has been deemed that Britney cannot care for herself or handle her own affairs.
The order is only temporary because the judge wants time over the weekend to go over all the material and paperwork presented. A hearing is scheduled for Monday, February 4.
