Girls tend to complain about packing on the pounds due to depression, but Kevin Federline proves it can happen to men too!

While Britney Spears was going crazy after their divorce, K-Fed was finding comfort in a bag of potato chips!

“Everybody knows what happened with me and Brit,” Federline tells Access Hollywood. “I’m not going to say that’s the total cause of it but, I mean, just not being happy with myself was probably the main part of my depression.”

“Once you get depressed, you don’t really feel like doing anything,” he says. “You’re kind of discouraged about yourself and then the weight gain too, or that makes me more depressed… I mean, it’s a combination of all of those things.”

Damn Federline, we feel ya!

Luckily, VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp (premiering Feb. 14) felt bad for K-Fat’s growing pudge and invited him to join the show in an attempt to lose weight in front of America!

Federline gladly accepted the offer because let’s face it, dude has nothing going on now that he’s not f*cking Britney Spears!

In addition to the show, Federline can thank his improved relationship with Spears for his flatter tummy.

“I think as time goes on, it keeps getting better and better and better,” he explains. “I mean, I’m really happy the way that my life is going right now, I really am.

“I think, you know, I have come a long way,” he goes on. “All of us have…my whole family. It’s gotten so much better from where we were.”

Come a long way family-wise? Yes. Career-wise? Hell to the no.

After putting his blood, sweat and tears into VH1’s new season of Celebrity Fit Club, K-Fat is finally seeing some results… or so that’s what ONE of his baby mama’s confirms!

Kevin Federline hit an L.A. golf course on Thursday sporting a flatter tummy! The former fast-food fan reportedly gained an estimated 85 pounds after his divorce to troubled pop queen Britney Spears!

The former fatty has apparently lost a whopping 50 pounds (probably from putting down the whoppers) as a contestant on the VH1 reality show, airing in January. Uhh, this show only began filming a couple of months ago. Tell us your tricks K-Fed!

Shar Jackson — Federline’s ex-girlfriend and fellow Fit Club cast member — dished to Usmagazine.com about her baby daddy’s fab new bod, “I think everybody will be very, very shocked to see the end results,” noting that they both survived a “very painful” boot camp on the show.

Hopefully K-Fed doesn’t fall back into his fat-ass ways. A staff member at L.A. eatery Casa Vega recently witnessed him scarfing down chips and salsa with girlfriend Victoria Prince.

His appetite? “Healthy!” the employee told Us.

Now that he’s not getting paid to drop the LBS it’ll only be a matter of time before he starts stuffing his face with burgers and fries again!

Just when it seems that Britney Spears made a full turn-around, someone had to drop a bomb.

Steve Dennis, author of the new biography, Britney: Inside The Dream claims that, “more than once, Britney was absolutely convinced that she was pregnant when she was with Justin Timberlake,”. He continues by saying, “the scares turned out to be false alarms, but they showed how serious the relationship was.” Interesting facts considering the pop star claimed she remained a virgin throughout their four-year relationship.

In addition to pregnancy scares, the book also details the pop star’s suicidal thoughts and bouts with substance abuse, reports ICYDK.com.

Another startling offense is that Britney, chugged five cocktails after finding out she was pregnant with her and Kevin Federline’s second child, Jayden. “She was devastated, already suffering from postpartum depression [after having Sean], and it didn’t seem like a blessing at all,” Dennis says. “But Britney wasn’t reckless and didn’t drink or use drugs during the rest of her pregnancy.”

And although Dennis believes the singer’s drug and alcohol abuse has been exaggerated, her depression was real. “I think Britney told people she felt it would be easier to never wake up again. I think her family believed Britney was reckless enough to take her own life, but I don’t believe there was ever a serious attempt,” he claims.

Although Kevin Federline’s baby mama, Shar Jackson recently reported that he didn’t care about being fat, the dancer turned rapper is ready to do something about his recent weight gain.

K-Fed has officially signed on to participate in the next season of the VH1 reality show, the network confirms to Usmagazine.com.

Additionally, he will be joined on the show with Miss Jackson!

Filming for the new season is underway and expected to air in early 2010.

How ironic that just this week Shar had said, “the beautiful thing about him is that he could care less,” about his bulging belly.

Well we feel a little bad for talking so much s*** about his massive weight gain, because it’s clear he has his priorities straight. Family over fitness. We guess If you’re ok with being K-Fat, then so are we!

K-Fat has been offered a deal - worth a whopping seven figures - to endorse a new weight loss product, according to the HollywoodGossip.com.

Federline is negotiating an endorsement deal with a company called EP-2 (Extreme Physical Performance), according to a source. He has been offered $2.5 million to become the new face of the fat-burning tool, which is slated to be marketed in 1,400 GNC stores.

“Yes, we’re trying to do a deal with him, but nothing has been confirmed yet,” an EP-2 spokesperson said.

“Victoria is a big part of the series,” says a source. “They are not engaged, but she lives with him full-time in his place in Encino.”

Rumors have been flying that Britney Spears will cancel her tour if she can’t bring her children Jayden James and Sean Preston along, but it looks like the pop star is working out a deal with her ex-hubby Kevin Federline.

Originally, reports said that Brit and K-Fed’s lawyers wouldn’t be involved, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

K-Fed’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told E! News, “Kevin is working to make them accessible by going on various central locations in various areas of the country, and he is doing that because he wants
her to be able to have the maximum positive environment around her to assure that the tour will be successful.”

Apparently, Brit would see her boys around three days a week and an agreement is expected to be reached in the next day, according to Kaplan.

But the boys won’t be going to the shows — just hanging out nearby waiting for their mother.

“I don’t think the kids will be at venues. They will be available in her life when she is done with the rigors of performing,” said Kaplan.

Well, good! I don’t think that circus atmosphere is the best for these little ones, but we are glad they will be close to both their parents!
