There’s nothing like exploiting a high-profile person’s tragic death to further your own career and that’s exactly what several of Hollywood’s stars did this week!

Usmagazine.com did some research and it turns out that the majority of the celebrities who performed or spoke at Michael Jackson’s memorial either barely knew him or didn’t know him at all.

Queen Latifah gave a speech about the King of Pop, but she told David Letterman that they had never even met!: “I never actually got to meet him. My partner met him because we managed Naughty by Nature and they did a remix with him. He thought I had beautiful cheekbones.”

John Mayer, who performed Human Nature, told Larry King the he also “never met” MJ.

Jennifer Hudson, who sang Will You Be There, also had no prior relationship with Jackson.

Usher, who shed tears as he sang Gone Too Soon, only performed with Jackson once at his 2001 celebration concert at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, and “their contact was minimal,” according to a source.

Brooke Shields, who broke down in tears during her eulogy, hadn’t seen Jackson in a whopping long 18 years!

Finally, Corey Feldman attended the memorial even though they haven’t talked in several years after having a falling out.

What an absolute total effen’ joke! People in Hollywood are such disgusting opportunistic selfish low-lives who will exploit any tragic situation to further their own careers. It’s really sad, but it doesn’t surprise us at all!


Usher, who recently filed for divorce from wife Tameka Foster, is speaking out about their rocky relationship.

The new issue of Us Weekly reports that the couple have been battling relationship problems since the start and that Foster isn’t fun to deal with!

“She was alienating and controlling, and he was unhappy,” a source told Us.

Sounds like he stuck it out for the kids. Usher and Foster have 18-month-old Usher Raymond V and six-month-old Navidy Ely Raymond together, in which he is now seeking joint custody of.

As for being a father to the little guys, Usher says, “”What I do is, I try to get [my work] done and get home on the weekends if possible … but when I’m with my boys it’s just all about them.”

Divorces can be tough, but luckily Usher has a great team of people helping him get through this difficult time.

“I’d hate for [people] to assume that. If there’s any turmoil, I think it’s managing all of it, but having an incredible team that helps me do that it makes it very easy, or easier than it would normally be attempting to do it myself,” Usher told Entertainment Tonight.

Although the two just recently filed for for divorce, they’ve been living separately since July and are due in court July 15, according to the divorce petition.

Any hope in the couple working it out? Not so much. The divorce petition clearly states, “No reasonable hope of reconciliation.”

Is he really unhappy with her alienating and controlling behavior or is more about that botched plastic surgery job she had earlier this year?!

Usher is slamming Chris Brown for the photos of him vacationing in Miami over the weekend.

In a video for Jermaine Dupri’s “Living the Life” series, Usher is seen around a laptop talking about a series of photos with some other men in a recording studio.

“I’m a little disappointed in this photo,” Usher says about the shots of Brown. “After the other photo [of Rihanna's bruised face posted by TMZ]? C’mon, Chris. Have a little bit of remorse, man. The man’s on jet skis? Like, just relaxing in Miami?”

We completely agree with Usher! Chris Brown needs to stay out of the limelight and assume responsibility for beating his girlfriend.

Usher appeared on Good Morning America today to talk about his new album Here I Stand, his marriage and his new baby son.

“When I became a husband, I became a great man,” Usher told GMA. “That is the majority of what this album is about, that transformation.”

The third season of The Hills aired last night on MTV and the stars held a “Live from the Hills Season Finale” party in Bevery Hills.

All the actors stars were there, but where was Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt? Allegedly they were banned from the bash!

Usher performed while Lauren Conrad, Audrina Patridge, Whitney Port and Lauren “Lo” Bosworth partied on. Brody Jenner was also there with buddy Frankie Delgado.

Jenner will be in the Chicago this Thursday for an appearance at McFadden’s. Let’s hope he makes it to the Windy City without incident…unlike last time!

Haven’t seen much of this guy lately! Usher seemed to have dropped off the map for awhile, but has let everyone know he’s back with his hit single Love In This Club.

Usher was spotted shooting the music video for his single yesterday in Hollywood which features rapper Young Jeezy.

Also appearing in the video? Kanye West makes a cameo!

Usher was at Macy’s yesterday in New York City to promote his new fragrances, Usher for Men and Usher for Women.

Celebrity guests including Nelly, Jermaine Dupri, Janet Jackson, Usher, Ryan Cameron, and Monica attended the grand opening of Studio 72 in Atlanta yesterday evening.

Jermaine Dupri and Janet Jackson also attended. They have been together foreva! I don’t see why they don’t get hitched already!
