Jennifer Hudson, who became a mommy only two months ago, is already thinking about having another child!
“I’d like to have at least one more, a little girl,” Hudson tells Access Hollywood. “I want a girl and then maybe another one. You know, one baby at a time.”
That’s exactly what my mom said… then she ended up with twins!
Out of all her experiences in life, the Chicago native describes motherhood as a joy she’s never known until now.
“It of course is the most amazing thing ever,” the singer says. “I love every minute of it.”
Though her little bundle of joy David is only two months old, Hudson explains that he’s already doing cute baby things!
He has been “working on his smile and turning over,” Hudson told Usmagazine.com at a Whitney Museum gala in New York City last month. “He really thinks he can talk! He really tries. No words come out, of course. He’s like, ‘Ahhh!’ He says hi!”
How does Jennifer get through those often chaotic and stressful mommy days? She thinks of her late mother.
“[My mother] was the strongest person — woman I’ve ever seen,” says Hudson, adding that she “definitely” feels her mother’s presence in her life. “Wherever, wherever. Every day, I’m like, ‘Wow, I didn’t realize I am so much like my mother until now.”
Jennifer Hudson is opening up about her life as a new mother one-year after tragically losing her family members in a triple homicide last October.
Hudson talked exclusively with People about how much she loves being a mother after giving birth to her first child, David – who is named after her fiancé, David Otunga – on Aug. 10.
How hard was it keeping your pregnancy under wraps?
“David and I were the only people who knew for a long time. I would forget I was pregnant, it was so easy. I didn’t have any morning sickness, no cravings either. I just thought, ‘Oh, well, we’ll wait until it’ll tell on itself.’ I didn’t show until I was seven months so that made it easy right there.”
Your son was delivered via C-section, what was your recovery like?
“Everybody told me how much it was going to hurt afterwards but I think I have a different tolerance for pain than others. By that night after I had the baby, I’m like, ‘Look, I can’t sit in this bed anymore. I’ve got to get up!’ I’ve been up and about since he was born. To me, the pain is no different than when you work out a muscle you’ve never worked out before and it’s sore.”
Has his personality emerged yet?
“He has a lot of personality, like David. He’s always been a good sleeper. His favorite time to smile now is diaper changes. Or when he spits up on you – he just cracks up like he thinks it’s the funniest thing. And his bottle is his pacifier. With a pacifier, it’s like he knows, ‘Ain’t nothing come out of here. No, I don’t want that. Where’s the real deal?’ His best friend is that bottle; that’s all he wants.”
Would you be supportive if he wants to pursue a career in entertainment?
“We’ll definitely encourage education. His father is an education fanatic so we definitely want him to get an education and go to school. My mom always said, ‘Whatever you want to do, I’ll support you as long as you’re happy.’ So I will do the same.”
It’s so nice to see J-Hud finding peace with her new little family! She’ll make a great mom - no doubt!
Celebrity Speakers At MJ Memorial Barely Knew Him!
July 10th, 2009
There’s nothing like exploiting a high-profile person’s tragic death to further your own career and that’s exactly what several of Hollywood’s stars did this week!
Usmagazine.com did some research and it turns out that the majority of the celebrities who performed or spoke at Michael Jackson’s memorial either barely knew him or didn’t know him at all.
Queen Latifah gave a speech about the King of Pop, but she told David Letterman that they had never even met!: “I never actually got to meet him. My partner met him because we managed Naughty by Nature and they did a remix with him. He thought I had beautiful cheekbones.”
John Mayer, who performed Human Nature, told Larry King the he also “never met” MJ.
Jennifer Hudson, who sang Will You Be There, also had no prior relationship with Jackson.
Usher, who shed tears as he sang Gone Too Soon, only performed with Jackson once at his 2001 celebration concert at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, and “their contact was minimal,” according to a source.
Brooke Shields, who broke down in tears during her eulogy, hadn’t seen Jackson in a whopping long 18 years!
Finally, Corey Feldman attended the memorial even though they haven’t talked in several years after having a falling out.
What an absolute total effen’ joke! People in Hollywood are such disgusting opportunistic selfish low-lives who will exploit any tragic situation to further their own careers. It’s really sad, but it doesn’t surprise us at all!

Our Chi-Town girl Jennifer Hudson hands-down gave the best performance at the Michael Jackson memorial today.
Even though the pregnant Dreamgirls star looks like she is due to pop at any moment, that didn’t prevent her from honoring the King of Pop.
Hudson looked like an angel singing Will You Be There in a gorgeous white dress. This couldn’t have been an easy performance for her considering what happened to her family last year and that her hormones have got to be raging.
Friends and family threw Jennifer Hudson a baby shower over the weekend!
A relative of the Dreamgirls star, who is expecting with fiance David Otunga, hosted the shower at their Chicago home on Saturday.
“It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family,” Hudson’s longtime friend, singer and actress Felicia Fields said according to the Chicago Tribune. “They’re really trying to keep it kind of quiet. It was a nice time that we had.”
Fields said that Hudson received a lot of yellow gifts since she does not know the the sex of the baby yet.
No one knows when J-Hud’s due date is, but judging by recent pics it looks like she’ll be popping out a summer baby!
J. Hudson Takes A Break From Tour Due To Throat Issues!
May 4th, 2009
Jennifer Hudson is putting her national tour on hold this week due to a throat condition.
Doctors are treating the singer, who is currently co-headlining with Robin Thicke, for a throat issue said to be related to her singing.
Hudson reportedly showed no signs of problems during her concert on Saturday at L.A.’s Nokia Theatre while playing an hour-long set hitting the powerful notes that she’s so famous for, according to E! Online.
Sunday’s scheduled stop in Oakland, Calif. has been postponed to May 19 and no details have been released regarding the other stops scheduled for this week in Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, and Biloxi.
The Boots Girls wish the Chicago native well and hope she gets back to the stage ASAP!
Grammy winner Jennifer Hudson did her first interview since her family members were murdered this morning on The Oprah Winfrey Show and the upbeat singer told Oprah that she is doing well and she’s happy to be back to work.
O asked the once American Idol contestant about singing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl and winning an Oscar but she respectfully didn’t touch on the Hudson family murders.
When asked about her experience singing the National Anthem, Hudson replied, “There was so much going on. I just zoned out.”
And those high notes? Ever wonder if J-Hud struggles with them?
“To me the biggest notes are the easiest because I know I’m at the end of it and its over and I can go home.”
Hudson also took home the Grammy for Best R&B album and it was presented to her by none other than icon Whitney Houston.
“That’s when I lost it”, J-Hud describes about seeing Whitney presenting the award. “Having her present me with the award was almost better than winning the actual Grammy.”
And fitting that Hudson won a Grammy to finally to keep her Oscar company.
“I have an Oscar and a Grammy and keep them in my piano room. My Oscar is next to a picture of my dog Oscar and my Grammy is next to a picture of Whitney and Beyonce.”
In the interview, that O kept short and sweet, Jennifer barely touched on her personal life but when asked how she was doing, she coyly responded, “I’m good”.
She added, “I’m glad to be back to doing what I love. I just pray every morning.”
Well Jennifer, we’re glad you’re back too and we can’t wait to see your show in March.
