EXCLUSIVE: Jessica Simpson vs. Carrie Underwood: It’s a Country Showdown
Next time Jessica Simpson wants to take a swipe at her boyfriend Tony Romo’s ex, she should look at her calendar!
Simpson recently wore a tee rumored to be a stab at vegetarian Carrie Underwood which read “Real Girls Eat Meat”, and now she may have to face her rival at the Country Thunder music festival in Twin Lakes, Wisc., this week.
Both ambitious blonde singers are scheduled to sing at the four day long event which begins today.
“There’s a slight chance there will be an encounter, but it’s not likely,” according to an event staffer. “They probably both will be in and out the same day they perform.”
Conveniently, the feuding stars are scheduled to sing as far apart as possible. “It’s no coincidence Carrie is scheduled the opening day and Jessica’s performance is on the closing day,” an insider says. “So it should be all good.”
Well, at least for Carrie.
With or without an encounter between the two buxom blondes, it appears that Underwood already has a leg up during this round of their celebrity showdown.
“Carrie is headlining and Jessica is just an opening act for Sara Evans,” the insider said. “People aren’t really coming here to see Jessica. She’s new to country music.” Ouch!
And even though there are over two dozen acts and Simpson isn’t a headliner, the event marketing team is promoting the event with posters featuring blown up photos of Simpson and Underwood head-to-head as if it were a boxing match!
If Simpson truly wants to break into the country music scene, she should consider playing nice with all her peers even if that means swallowing her pride when it comes to one of her boyfriend’s exes y’all!

I’d rather see Jessica than Carrie but how is saying Jessica is “new to country music” deserving of an “ouch”? Its true. I guess adding the “ouch” will make readers think its an insult.
Also, Jessica already addressed the stupid t-shirt drama and said she never even thought about Carrie when she put it on but if she offended her, she apologizes. Let it go.

The “OUCH!” is meant as the quote that said “People aren’t really coming here to see Jessica.” And by saying she is “JUST” an opening act.
Whatever. Carrie is a much better talent than Jessica. If Jessica didn’t look the way she did, she would be looooong forgotten.

Carrie is famous because of American Idol and a few catchy songs. I much prefer Jessica, and I doubt she actually meant anything bad by the shirt.

What a lie, I believe she was making a crack at Carrie and it backfired on her. I’m so laughing at jealous Jessica for that. Jessica is a pathetic spoiled -what Pam said she is. She turn to country because she sucked at pop. Now we are not to remember that.
I am so sick of Jessica and her pathetic family getting on every blog to keep this going. Oh and it’s Ok for Jessica to say she is sorry and not Pam. Jessica need to get over it already and let it go. I’m glad John Mayer use her like the dog she was and dumped her. Now I see why.
