Tatum O’Neal was busted yesterday for trying to buy cocaine and crack near her New York City digs.

The 44 year-old Academy Award winner reportedly told cops she was “doing research for a part.”

Uh huh, right.

O’Neal even tried the old, “You know who I am, right?” according to the New York Post. “Can’t we forget about this?” she pleaded with the cops.

A bag of crack, one bag of coke and an unused crack pipe were found on O’Neal.

The actress was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
