Chicago’s Golden Ticket!

Gov. Pat Quinn declared Friday Million Dollar Quartet Day, and for good reason!

The smash hit musical -inspired by a 1956 recording session with Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Elvis Presley - has been picked up by Broadway!

Not only that, but the cast celebrated their one-year anniversary Thursday night with a press show at the Apollo Theater. The Boots Girls were in attendance and we were floored at how wildly talented all the cast members were! Not only could the rock legend impersonators sing like their characters — they could jam on their designated instruments like no other!

We were particularly impressed with Levi Kreis, who plays Lewis, and is a total mad man behind the piano. Dude can rip out tunes like Great Balls of Fire with his back turned to the piano and while riding it like a horse. Loves it!

Quinn presented the proclamation to the cast at the Thompson Center Friday afternoon, and the musical is set to debut on Broadway in New York City in April 2010.

This is a must-see for all rock n’ roll enthusiasts!
