Mariah Carey is known for her over-the-top glamorous lifestyle. Straying from this image makes the pop singer a little uncomfortable…

Mariah, who is returning to the big screen after her bust Glitter, plays an 80s-era hard-knock social worker in the buzzed-about drama Precious. Her character, Mrs. Weiss, has bad hair, frumpy clothes, and even a faint mustache! The look makes Mariah sick!

“It wasn’t just de-glamorized,” Mariah told Usmagazine.com over the weekend. “They added some hideousness on top of that too. I drank some ugly juice,” she said, laughing.

This is the second incident we’ve heard of Mariah discussing her less-than-fabulous look. Back in September she noted, “I couldn’t even look in the mirror! It was tough.”

The films’ young star, Gabourey Sidibe even discussed how much Mariah “hated” her time in the makeup truck. “She hated her wardrobe! It was the funniest thing. Like the first day of school or something, where you’re not wearing the right socks and the whole outfit’s ruined.”

“I wouldn’t let her look at herself!” adds the film’s director Lee Daniels. “She just trusted me. I knew she was serious [about her performance].”
But of course, once filming wrapped, Mariah got right back on track with her glamorous look and lifestyle. “I just dealt with hair first — I have my own little tricks!”

God forbid Mariah Carey not look perfect! It’s a movie girlfriend… we know it’s make believe. And if you want people to take you seriously as an actress, get over your modesty and get into character. Otherwise you’re gonna be stuck with loser films like Glitter where you gain no credit, but hey! At least you’ll still look fabulous!!!
