Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez are denying a report that they plan to announce their single status on Valentine’s Day of the new year.

“There is no merit to the article,” Lopez’s publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, told E! News of the New York Daily News report.

Speculation first started when Lopez turned up at the Los Angeles premiere of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button without her wedding ring and her husband.

Yet just last week in Beverly Hills, the couple was photographed shopping together.

So, who knows what’s really going on? I’m not completely sold on the publicist’s comment. It is the publicist’s job to spin and cover things up!
