Jessica Simpson Is A Self-Help Book Addict!

Jessica Simpson may be at a great point in her life, but she still feels she could use a little self-improvement.

“I am the first person to go to Barnes & Noble and buy the new self-help book,” Simpson tells Marie Claire in the January issue.

She goes on to tell the mag, “I like to fill out the surveys, then I get my friends’ opinions on how I answered to see if I was being honest with myself or not.”

Self help books aren’t the only thing that Jess is into these days.

“I’ve been contemplating taking a college course in religion,” she says. “I love religion. I remember whenever the book The DaVinci Code came out, the Discovery Channel did this three-night piece on it that I TiVoed and then watched eight times.”

Wonder if she makes football beau, Tony Romo, sit around and watch documentaries about religion?

And when asked if she has any lucky superstitions for when she performs, her answer is “pennies”.

“I collect lucky pennies that I find on the ground,” she says. “I keep them in a Ziploc bag.”

Only Jessica would admit to not only reading self-help books, but being the first in line to buy the latest ones on the bookshelves. That’s what we love about her!
