Most fans are held at bay during the Golden Globes, but one lucky Chicagoan got the opportunity to mingle among the stars!
Boots reader, Collin Gardiner, was in L.A. last Sunday staying at the Beverly Hills Hilton and he had the chance to meet and greet with celebs at the Globes.
“They were all really friendly and willing to stop and take pictures” Gardiner said of stars like Anne Hathaway, Colin Farrell, Heidi KlumFreida Pinto and Dev Patel. “When I would take a picture with one of them, they would ask if I wanted a picture with one of their friends as well.”
“Everyone was just hanging out enjoying themselves. It was just really chill” Collin continues.
Damn, even The Boots Girls don’t get that up close and personal with that many celebs in one night usually. If you need a job Collin, you’re hired!
Clint Eastwood scored the best movie opening of his career with Gran Torino earning $29 million in its first weekend of wide release and taking the no. 1 spot over Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway’sBride Wars.
The chick flick came in second with $21.5 million and the horror film The Unborn came in third with $21.1 million.
I’m not shocked at all that Gran Torino came in first. It’s a fantastic must-see and Clint is classic!
In the February/March issue of Modern Bride, Anne Hathaway talks about her favorite wedding moment to promote her new flick Bride Wars, and says it’s when her older brother and his boyfriend got hitched!
“At one point, he and his husband were standing up there, and my mom got up to sing,” Hathaway told the magazine. “She was just beaming straight love into them, and everyone felt it, and it was just this really beautiful moment.
As for her own wedding, Hathaway says she hasn’t put much thought into it!
“I’m not the sort of girl who dreams about her wedding,” she admits. “I haven’t thought about the food; I haven’t thought about the look; I haven’t thought about my dress. I haven’t really thought about the guy … but every once in a while, I’ll listen to a song, and I’m like, ‘I want that at my wedding!’”
Well, judging by her last boyfriend, I don’t blame her for not having wedding bells on her mind!

Three fans paid $12,000 for drinks with Hathaway at the Cracked X-mas Fundraiser in Los Angeles Sunday night. Does that mean they were cracked out? You would think one would have to be to pay that much to have drinks with the boring actress…
“I’m not usually very forward, but I thought if there was ever a crowd for me to do something like this, this is my crowd so I would like to auction myself off,” Hathaway announced. “For drinks somewhere fabulous and basically get you totally s— faced. Tell me what I’m worth.”
The proceeds for the night went to benefit the Trevor Project, a crisis help line for youth. Hathaway was embarrassed when her price kept going up. “I’m blushing,” Hathaway said during the bidding process. “Wow, I feel really good right now.”
The actress returned to the stage later to present Sigourney Weaver with an award. “God you’re sexy!” Hathaway said after watching a highlights reel of Weaver’s career.
The crackheads clearly thought Hathaway was sexy too!

Anne Hathaway’s conniving ex-boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri was convicted today by a Manhattan judge to 4 1/2 years in prison.
Sucks to be him!
Follieri plead guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering and agreed to forfeit $2.4 million.
That’s what you get for squandering away money that isn’t yours on traveling the world in private planes and living the lavish life. I bet they’re already taking bids in the slammer on who’s going to make him their b*tch.
Fashion magazine, Elle, honored eight women in Hollywood last night at the Four Seasons for their contribution to the industry.
The women being honored at the 15th Annual event included Halle Berry, Sigourney Weaver, Nicole Kidman, Jane Fonda, Anne Hathaway, Salma Hayek, Isla Fisher and Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke.
“The honorees this year are remarkable. They have pushed boundaries both on screen and on behalf of all women in Hollywood,”Elle’s editor-in-chief Robbie Myers said. “They have conquered this industry with grace and style, and we at Elle feel they should be commended for their contributions to this field.”
Also in attendance at the event were celebs such as Jenny McCarthy, Leah Remini, Chelsea Handler, Courteney Cox Arquette, Sheryl Crow and Kerry Washington.
Anne Hathaway’s ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri pleaded guilty this morning in a Manhattan court.
The con artist pleaded guilty to federal charges of wire fraud, money laundering and conspiracy. He now faces up to five years and three months in prison and could be deported as a result of his plea.
“I did not have investor authorization to use the money that way,” Follieri stated after pleading guilty to all 14 counts stemming from his June 24 bust. “I knew what I did was wrong.”
Follieri has been behind bars since his arrest, which took place just hours after Hathaway dumped him.
It looks like he better get used to his cell, he may be spending a lot more time there!

The FBI has seized Anne Hathaway’s diaries during another raid on her convict ex, Raffaello Follieri’s, pad.
The agents confiscated the intimate diaries of the Devil Wears Prada star during a second raid on Follieri’s $37,500-a-month Trump Tower pad, sources told the New York Daily News.
In an attempt for the FBI to bolster their case against the Italian phony, who has been charged with 11 counts of fraud and money laundering, agents are also said to have seized photos of Follieri with Bill and Hillary Clinton, Pope John Paul II, and John and Cindy McCain. Also confiscated were documents, watches, a Tiffany clock, an antique Bible and personal photos of Follieri and Hathaway.
The 25-year-old actress is said to have changed her phone numbers and cut off all ties to her ex.
“Raffaello is doing very badly,” says a friend who revealed that Follieri was hospitalized for an anxiety attack the day he was locked up. “He says people are abusing him. He’s a broken man.”
How embarrassing for Anne! The poor girl has already been through enough. I’m guessing her diaries are no princess diaries. Follieri is way more of a frog than a prince!
The shady Italian businessman boyfriend the Get Smart star recently dumped has been arrested for fraud, money laundering and conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
This is by no means anything new for Raffaello Follieri who has been accused of lying to investors and even claimed to be the CFO of the Vatican. Ah ha ha ha! Seriously, what an idiot!
