Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Reveal Their Daughters Name
January 13th, 2009
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, parents to adorable Violet, welcomed a new baby girl on Jan 6 and until now we didn’t know her name. Well, brace yourself!
“Seraphina”, a source confirms to Usmagazine.com is the baby’s name but the doting new parents didn’t reveal a meaning behind the moniker.
“Seraphina is an elaborately feminine kind of name that’s really come into style over the past few years, like [Affleck's friend Matt Damon's daughter] Isabella,”Baby Name Bible author Pamela Redmond Satran tells Us Magazine.
“Seraphim is one of the highest orders of angels,” adds Satran. “It kind of follows from Angelina, which has gotten super popular because of Angelina Jolie, as a a spiritual, heavenly name.”
“Ben and Jen really put Violet on the map,” Satran continues. “They transformed it from what people saw as a dowdy, old lady name to a really cute, modern choice.”
We agree that Violet is a cute name but we’re not sure about Seraphina. If we were a celebrity, we think we’d name our baby Bob, Sarah, something simple just to stick it to Hollywood!
What do you guys think of the Affleck’s baby name selection?
It’s always breaking news to hear who was the first baby born into the new year, and this year it could be a famous tot.
Celebrity A-listers Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were spotted rushing into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center early this morning but kept mum on their intentions.
The couple who are parents to Violet, confirmed Garner’s pregnancy in August but from the looks of her stomach she could pop any minute.
We wish the couple the best of luck and can’t wait to see pics of their new bundle of joy.
Stay tuned for any details on Garner’s labor and delivery.
Good Will Hunting star Ben Affleck has been good house hunting! Affleck and wife Jennifer Garner just purchased a $16 million mansion in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Now that Garner is about 5 months pregnant with their second child the couple decided they needed more living space and upgraded to a 9,900 sq. ft. house with seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a library, a 3-car garage, a wine cellar and six fireplaces!
I’m sure their current house was a shabby shack with a measly five bedrooms or something like that. Not nearly enough room!
It’s official, Jennifer Garner and hubby Ben Affleck are having baby number two! After much speculation, the pregnancy rumors were finally confirmed by Garner’s friend and former Alias co-star Victor Garber.
“Yes, she is,” Garbor confirmed in an interview with US magazine. Another source revealed that Garner is already “five months pregnant. They are very happy.”
Looks like Violet will have a little brother or sister to play with soon! The couple have yet to make any official conformation of their pregnancy.
It looks like there may be some truth to the rumors Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are expecting baby no. 2!
Earlier this month a tabloid report claimed Garner and Affleck had already told friends their two-and-a-half-year-old daughter Violet is getting a sibling and Garner only fueled the fire by wearing loose-fitting tops.
Yesterday the two were spotted together at an L.A. obstetrician’s office to meet with a doctor.
Reps for Garner and Affleck are not commenting one way or the other.
On top of baby bump rumors, there’s been speculation that Jen and Ben’s marriage is on rocky ground. Having a baby is the classic way for a couple to attempt to fix a shaky marriage, but it usually never works!
Gary Busey made headlines in February when he turned the red carpet at the Oscars into a madhouse with his wacky and odd behavior. Busy interrupted Jennifer Garner and Laura Linney as they were being interviewed by Ryan Seacrest.
Check out how uncomfortable Garner gets when Busey inappropriately hugged and kissed the actress on the neck. Wacko!
Busey did some damage control and went to Extra with an apology to Garner and Seacrest for his behavior. “I got very excited and I did not know Ryan Seacrest was doing an interview…I apologized to Jennifer, I apologized to Ben [Affleck], I apologized to Ryan,” Busey explained.
What’s this guy on???
On a more serious note, Busey had a heartfelt message for his former co-star and friend, Patrick Swayze. “You have the will and faith to make this happen…If you can talk me into going skydiving, you can beat this cancer,” Busey said.
Our new resident Boots Style Expert Steph S. chimed in on last night’s Oscar’s fashion winners and losers. Here’s Steph’s picks:
Red seemed to be the color of choice for ladies gowns. Who wore it best: I have two picks - Heidi Klum rocker couture and Ann Hathway gave youth to her flowing red gown.
Also, best dressed was Renee Zellweger, and my overall pick, Jennifer Garner because her dress and jewelry were PERFECT!
The worst dressed list is as follows: Jennifer Hudson’s dress was too small and too low cut in back and sides. It was far beyond unflattering.
Cameron Diaz’s dress was too small too and did nothing for her figure. She had back fat hanging over the sides.
I’m not sure where Daniel Day Lewis’s wife, Rebecca Miller, got such a hideous ensemble.
Sarah Larson, George Clooney’s girlfriend, wore a dress that looked like the fabric from my grandmothers curtains! Tragic!
Most age appropriate was Ruby Dee and Miley Cyrus.
Best dressed pregnant actress was Jessica Alba. She glowed and looked stunning in purple Marchesa.
Overall, worst goes to Katherine Heigl who ruined a gorgeous gown and tiny waist with clown-like makeup and old-fashioned hair.
Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie had dinner Saturday night in NYC at Morandi with Gwyneth Paltrow and hubby Chris Martin. Cute double date!
Finally! Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were snapped with their daughter Violet over the weekend in NYC. I haven’t seen a picture of this couple together in a long time and it’s lead me to wonder if something’s going on with them. This picture doesn’t help. They still look distant!
