Although they’ve been divorced for over twenty years, it seems upon their recent break-ups Madonna and Sean Penn are revisiting their friendlier days.

On Thursday night, the two shared a three-hour dinner, just the two of them, at four-star Alain Ducasse restaurant in Manhattan. TMZ has video footage of the two leaving the venue.

It was the first marriage for both stars, and was considered a not-so-peaceful union from 1985-1989. At the time, the media dubbed them the “Poison Penns” for their constant fighting.

In 2000, Madonna went on to marry Guy Ritchie, with whom she gave birth to Rocco with and adopted David Banda from Malawi. The two split in 2008, and since, Madonna has been linked to Brazilian model Jesus Luz.

Additionally, Sean married Robin Wright Penn in 1996. The two have two children together, and after a few splits and reconciliations they finally confirmed their impending divorce in 2009.

Hmmm, looks like 2010 really is the year for new beginnings!

Madonna is heading back to Malawi, but this time with an agenda other than adoption.

The pop-diva is returning to the African country on behalf of her charity, Raising Malawi, to lay the foundation stone for the $15 million school she will be building there.

“She plans to meet the President Bingu wa Mutharika and together lay a foundation stone for her multi-million dollar girls school,” a staffer at the charity told Reuters Thursday.

The plan for this school comes just two years after Oprah, another high-profile philanthropist, opened a boarding school for girls in South Africa. The school opened in 2007 and was instantly shaken by two sex scandals in under two years.

Well, hopefully Madge can manage to successfully open her school and avoid any sex scandals in the years to come…

Apparently Guy Ritchie has mixed feelings about his ex-wife Madonna.

The director told the latest issue of Esquire, “I still love her, but she’s retarded too.”

Say WHAAAT?!

The two split last December after an eight-year-long marriage, but he still seems quite impressed by the pop diva.

“She’s a manifester, if there ever was one,” he says. “First-rate manifester. Madonna makes things happen. Put Madonna up against any 23-year-old, she’ll outwork them, outdance them, outperform them. The woman is broad.”

However, Ritchie is still struggling through the divorce.

“You can’t tell someone when they’re getting divorced that their pain is an illusion,” he admitss. “I’m f***ing telling you, I feel it. I’ve been through that… No one can say you don’t feel that.”

Madonna has moved on to the 23-year-old Brazilian model Jesus Luz, but she’s still undergone the pain of divorce.

On the Sept. 30 episode of The Late Show Madge was asked if she’d ever wed again. Her response? “I think I’d rather get run over by a train.”

Additionally, she referred to her marriage to director Guy Ritchie as “the Bush years.”

Sniped the singer, “It was a good time to be out of America.”

Wow, these two make marriage look like a massacre! Wonder if they’ll ever recover from all the turmoil…

All the men of planet earth can breathe a sigh of relief — mega diva Madonna has announced that she won’t be throwing on a wedding dress ever again.

That is, unless it’s for one of her jaw-dropping tacky stage performances…

The self-centered superstar told David Letterman Wednesday night on The Late Show that not only will she never get married again — she’d rather be hit by a train!

“I think I’d rather get run over by a train,” the Material Girl — who has been married twice to Sean Penn and then Guy Ritchie — told Letterman.

Madge referred to her 8-year marriage to Ritchie as “the Bush years” and rolled her eyes when Letterman brought up A-Rod.

“Didn’t you almost get arrested for bringing up A-Rod’s name?” she joked.

Letterman corrected her by saying he didn’t get arrested, but almost got fired! LOL!

It’s no shock Madonna will never marry again. People who are as in love with themselves as Madonna — are not capable of loving anyone else nearly as much if at all. That’s why she’s middle-aged, single and sleeping around with embarrassing people like busboys more than half her age!

Madonna’s three-year-old adopted daughter Chifundo “Mercy” James has left Malawi.

James flew out of Malawi late on Friday accompanied by a nanny and a nurse, according to the Associated Press. The jet was expected to land in London to close adoption proceedings that were first not approved by a lower court.

Last week Malawi’s highest court overturned an April lower court decision and ruled that Madonna could adopt Mercy.

Mercy should’ve reached her new mom’s London home by Saturday morning.

Madonna exclaimed she’s “ecstatic” a judge finally approved her appeal to adopt three-year-old Chifundo “Mercy” James from Malawi.

“I am extremely grateful for the Supreme Court’s ruling on my application to adopt Mercy James,” Madonna told Usmagazine.com

“I am ecstatic. My family and I look forward to sharing our lives with her,” continued the singer, who adopted her son David Banda, 3, from Malawi in 2006.

Madonna’s initial bid for adoption was rejected after a judge ruled prospective parents must live in the country 18 to 24 months. Fortunately, during Fridays’ hearing, Chief Justice Lovemore Munlo called the so-called residency requirement an “old law.”

Additionally, Madonna could have Mercy home by mid-week, sources from the High Court informed Us.

“Her passport is already being prepared — we’re not going to pause this over the weekend,” says the insider. “Madonna and Mercy should be together by Wednesday.”

Hopefully Madonna didn’t underestimate the difficulty of life with four kids as a single mom…

Madonna’s boy toy Jesus Luz is denying reports that him and the Material Girl are planning a Kabbalah commitment ceremony.

“She is my friend, only my friend,” the 22-year-old model said in his first-ever TV interview on the Brazilian TV program Fantastico.

“Madonna is beautiful, a person full of positive energy, with no visible faults. I found her marvellous. Her personality also impressed me,” said Luz. “I cannot say anything more than I don’t have plans of marrying her. I can’t say if she is the woman in my life.”

Madonna has no “visible Faults”??? That’s the funniest thing I’ve ever heard!!! Luz, there’s this little book called Life With My Sister Madonna that we suggest you read. That is, if you’ve learned that in school yet.

It turns out Madonna’s fall off her high horse was worse than what reports originally indicated.

Madonna’s rep has recently stated that after falling off her horse, Madge fainted, gained conciousness, and then fainted again, according to a report obtained by etonline.com.

As of now she is bruised, but recovering and under observation. Oh poor Madge.

Doctors treated Madonna at a New York hospital Saturday after falling from a horse and the Material Girl is blaming a photographer who insists he wasn’t even there when the drama went down.

Here’s the statement Madge’s rep, Liz Rosenberg, released:

“The accident occurred when the horse Madonna was riding was startled by paparazzi who jumped out of the bushes to photograph the singer, who was visiting friends on Eastern Long Island over the weekend. Madonna will be having further tests and will continue to remain under observation by doctors.”

However, the paparazzo insists he was not there when the accident occurred and we believe him. Here’s what he told TMZ.com:

He said he took pics of her riding and then left. About 30 minutes later, he says he got a tip about an ambulance being sent out for a 50-year-old woman — so he put two and two together and went back to snap pics of her being tended to.

He says all his photos were taken from a public road and he added, “If I had startled the horse, I would have gotten pictures!”

That picture would have been worth a nice chunk of cash so there’s no way he was there! If he was - the photos would be splashed all over by now.

This isn’t the first time Madge has lied, spun and manipulated the press to cover her own ass or to portray herself in a positive light.

Anyone who’s read Life with My Sister Madonna knows this all too well. This is the second time Madonna has fallen off a horse and has been left with serious injuries.

Hey Madge! Maybe there’s a reason you keep falling off your high horses — ever thought of that???

Madonna made a desperate plea to a Malawi newspaper after her attempt to adopt 3-year-old orphan Mercy James failed.

“I want to provide Mercy with a home, a loving family environment and the best education and healthcare possible,” she e-mailed Malawi’s Nation newspaper in response to its questions according to Usmagazine.com. “And it’s my hope that she, like David, will one day return to Malawi and help the people of their country.”

Madonna continued: “Though I have been advised that I cannot publicly discuss the pending appeal regarding my desire to adopt Mercy, I do want to say how much I appreciate the level of support that I have received from the people of Malawi and my friends around the world.”

Madge was not granted the adoption because she didn’t meet the country’s 18 to 24 month residency requirement.

If she’s been advised not to talk publicly about the pending appeal for the adoption, she probably shouldn’t be talking about the adoption publicly at all! It seems like the Material Girl is at a total loss, because for once she’s not getting her way!
