Paula Abdul keeps quiet about the possibility of her joining Star Search!
Earlier this week, Entertainment Weekly revealed that the former American Idol judge was “finalizing a deal” to star in the new version on the 1980s-era talent show, and while she’s not confirming the rumors, she’s not denying them either!
“Once again, until you hear it from me, you can’t believe what you read Lots of love!” she Tuesday.
The show is set to premiere this summer and could possibly feature Abdul as a judge and host, EW.com reported.
Who knows how this will all pan out considering she was also once rumored to compete on Dancing With the Stars and lend her judging talents on Simon Cowell’sX-Factor.
We hope Paula gets the gig! We’ve missed her crackhead comments, crazy clapping and chair spins!
Hollywood stars sure know how to come together for a great cause!
In a special two-hour Monday broadcast of Larry King Live, some of Hollywood’s biggest names joined forces to raise almost $9 million for Haitian relief efforts, a rep for the show tells Usmagazine.com.
Haiti: How You Can Help volunteers included: Jennifer Lopez, Paula Abdul, John Mayer, Scarlett Johansson, Ryan Seacrest, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden.
“To come here and see people call in from across the United States — it was awesome,” Lopez, who helped take calls as viewers dialed in their donations to UNICEF and the American Red Cross, told Extra.
In addition to managing phone calls, the stars auctioned off some of their own personalized goodies.
Jared Leto and Seacrest found themselves in a bidding war over Larry King’s infamous suspenders, with Leto coming out on top after dropping $1,000!
In addition, Money maker P.Diddy auctioned away his sunglasses and Abdul purchased the book, Michael Jackson OPUS.
“It was wonderful to raise so much money and quickly,” Abdul told Extra. “It’s just heartfelt.”
The the majority of Hollywood is full of train-wreck celebs, luckily those fools know how and when to come together in a time of desperate need!
Simon Cowell apparently couldn’t stand judging American Idol without his secret love, Paula Abdul, by his side!
Cowell — known for his ridiculously harsh critiques — has announced that he is leaving the hit Fox show when his contract expires after the 2010 season.
So what’s next for the British hottie?
He plans to use his judging and production talents on the American version of his British hit show, The X Factor, expected to premiere on Fox in 2011.
“Because of that this will be my last season on American Idol,” he announced Monday at Fox’s Winter Television Critics’ Association press event at the Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, California.
With both Simon and Paula gone after this season, we wouldn’t be surprised if Fox chose to throw American Idol in the can. Honestly, it’s entertaining to watch but it’s getting pretty damn old. Plus, we can only handle so much of Randy Jackson’s dawg pound!
“I felt like doing something different,” he explained. “I want to leave Idol this year bigger and better than it’s been before.”
Will Simon and Paula continue their sexual tension on The X Factor? As for rumors that she’ll serve as a judge on the show, Simon said, “I adore Paula. Whatever happens with her, I will be working with her in some capacity because I miss her.”
Maybe they’ll be working together in the bedroom! Regardless of their tiffs in the judging seats, these two seriously need to just get it on and relieve the tension!
Paula Abdul recently mocked Idol’s new host Ellen Degeneres, but Ellen doesn’t even mind!
Paula impersonated her replacement while hosting the VH1 Divas Live concert, Thursday night, sporting a blonde wig and Ellen’s infamous attire, a suit and sneakers. Ellen Twittered that she loved it, reports Usmagazine.com!
“You’re hilarious,” She Tweeted Friday.
However, amid her impression, Paula stated, “All kidding aside, [I have] nothing but love for Ellen, and I wish you the best of luck and congratulations on your new gig.”
In response to Paula’s gratitude towards her, Ellen tweeted “You’ve left me some big shoes to fill…unfortunately I don’t wear high heels. Nothing but love for you too.”
We love Ellen, but can’t quite wrap our heads around the idea that she’s judging a singing competition? Regardless, we’re excited about the new season!
Just one day after Fox announced that Ellen DeGeneres will join the American Idol crew, former judge Paula Abdul wishes the newcomer good luck on the upcoming season!
“I think Ellen will b a gr8 judge on Idol,” she Thursday. “She is wildly funny, talented and I wish her the best of luck!”
Honestly Paula, how much energy would it have taken out of you to spell out BE and GREAT?
Well, we’re glad Paula isn’t bitter about the situation! Just like Simon and Randy have already expressed, no one will ever be able to replace her!
Funny man Jimmy Fallon seems to agree with them as well!
“Ellen seems confident about replacing Paula but, I don’t know, she’s got some pretty big prescriptions to fill,” he posted on Thursday.

September 10th, 2009
It looks like we’ll soon be getting a double dose of our favorite funny girl Ellen DeGeneres!
The talk-show host is taking Paula Abdul’s seat as the fourth judge on American Idol, Fox said in a statement Wednesday.
“I’m thrilled to be the new judge on American Idol,” DeGeneres said. “I’ve watched since the beginning, and I’ve always been a huge fan. So getting this job is a dream come true, and think of all the money I’ll save from not having to text in my vote.”
Looks like Ellen will soon be working doubles…just like us common folk!
“I’m going to have a day job and a night job,” she said. “The times we’re living in … we’re all doing that.”
The peeps over at Idol couldn’t be more stoked for Ellen’s arrival!
The show’s creator and executive producer Simon Fuller said: “I could not be more excited to have Ellen join the American Idol family. Ellen has been a fan of the show for many years, and her love of music and understanding of the American public will bring a unique human touch to our judging panel. I can’t wait for this next season to begin.”
Having Ellen on the show will certainly be a trip! The new kids will never know when to take Ms. LOL Queen seriously! We hope you’re ready for Ellen’s LOLs and crazy dance moves, Fox!
It looks like Paula Abdul doesn’t have to file for unemployment just yet!
The former American Idol judge announced on her Twitter page Monday night that she’s the new host for VH1 Divas next month.
“Hi guys! im really excited 2 announce ill b hosting this year’s “Vh1 Divas”! The show will be live on Sept 17th @ 9 pm EST,” Paula Tweeted.
She went on to dish about the show’s upcoming lineup.
“This year’s VH1 Divas show will honor Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Sparks, Leona Lewis and Miley Cyrus- I am so excited!!” Paula continued.
We guess she wasn’t bluffing when she said she had other offers in the works - go Paula! Glad her crazy ass will still be in the limelight and giving us lots more to blog about we’re sure!
Sorry, Jo Bros… looks like only one of you is worthy for American Idol!
Yep, although the trio has previously performed on an Idol finale Joe Jonas was asked to appear as a guest judge on the popular TV show, ALONE Usmagazine.com
The pop star will sit along side fellow judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi during the Dallas auditions.
Additionally, Idol Alum Kelly Clarkson was rumored to appear as a guest judge, but a rep tells Us, it’s “not true.”
However, other celebs filling in for Paula Abdul will include, Victoria Beckham, Katy Perry, Shania Twain and Mary J. Blige.
Check them all out when the season premieres January 2009!
Paula Abdul announced via Twitter this week that she will not be returning to FOX’s hit television show American Idol, but don’t worry, her spot will be filled!
The show, which originally starred three judges — Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, and Paula Abdul — brought fourth judge, Kara DioGuardi on board last season. Despite Abdul’s recent exit, Idol will continue with four judges, Fox chairman Peter Rice told the FOX Television Critics Association on Thursday.
Rice and producers “were hoping” that Abdul would return for the show’s ninth season, but she reportedly declined a 30 percent raise - an eight-figure, multi-year deal, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
What a greedy wackjob! Where else will she find someone to pay her that kind of money for her so-called talent and smarts?
“There is going to be a change and that change we have to look at that as being a positive change,” Rice said of Abdul’s exit. “It wasn’t a decision we made, but we have to look at it in a positive way.”
Rice and producers are currently in search of a fourth judge, but in the the meantime, Victoria Beckham and Kate Perry will join the rest of the Idol gang as guest judges in the seven weeks of taped auditions rounds, which begin Friday in Denver.
We will definitely miss Paula’s crazy antics, but we’re excited to see what the new season has in store for us!
