Right now, Katy’s firsr priority is planning her next record. “Well, I have to plan my [new album, due this summer] first and then I’m going to get to my wedding,” the singer, 25, tells MTV News. “But I’m really excited about that, too.
So it seems her fiance Russell is the one taking matters into his own hands! Katy even claims the guy has become “a total bridezilla!”
“He’s like a freak, man. You should see — he’s always, like, buying bride magazines. Every time we go out for breakfast he’s like, ‘Can we just stop and get a bride magazine?’”
So while Russell is all gaga over the big ceremony, Katy is telling reporters that they may even consider eloping! “We just want it to mean something,” she said when asked about the kind of ceremony she wants. “It doesn’t matter if it’s just me and him or if it’s a big, fat ordeal.”
Looks like it’s about to be a fat ordeal!
At the moment though, over any extravagant arrangements, Katy says she just enjoys being engaged. And when asked how it’s been going so far, she exclaimed, “Fabulous! Better than I would imagine engagements typically do!”
Aww, SUCH a cute couple! We’re so excited for them and can’t wait to see what Russell has planned for the big day!

On Sunday, at a Grammys pre-party Katy told Usmagazine.com, “we just want it to mean something. It doesn’t matter if it’s just me and him or if it’s a big, fat ordeal.”
And while most details about the wedding were kept on the DL, Katy exclaimed that the engagement is going “Fabulous! Better than I would imagine engagements typically do!”
And when can we expect to see the two walk down the aisle? “I think when the time is right and we can both schedule it,” she told Us. “And when the press doesn’t know about it!”
Additionally, Perry admitted that when it came to her surprise proposal, Google ruined it for her! She read about Russell’s ring-shopping exploits “on Google alerts. I’m going to be honest!”

Tuesday’s episode of American Idol proved that Katy Perry truly is hot and cold!
We’re not sure if anyone else noticed, but girl was on some super bitch shit when she appeared as a guest judge on the hit FOX reality show.
Not only did Perry seem to be PMSing big time but she also threatened to throw her conveniently product placed Coke at Idol judge, Kara DioGuardi!
While some may have been hoping for hot girl fight, Kara says it was in good fun and she didn’t take offense to Katy’s words!
“People actually think that I was upset by this — like there was tension,” DioGuardi said on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show.
“I think that it’s really good that she disagreed with me,” DioGuardi continued. “I think that it’s important that people have different opinions or else who wants to watch the show? It’d be boring.”
We totally agree because when in the hell did Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul ever meet eye-to-eye on anything? With Perry it seemed a bit different though. The chick was on THEIR turf… where’s the respect, yo?!
Maybe this is how their relationships works though considering the two have known each other for years.

Rumors began circulating last week after RadarOnline.com claimed that the singer and actor “got up close and personal” and “only had eyes for each other” during a Dec. 16 outing at Dimples Supper Club in Burbank, California.
Luckily, the bouncers at the club had the celeb’s backs!

Russell Brand Wants Babies With Katy Perry!

Is Russell Brand seriously ready to settle down and be finished with his player lifestyle? The funny man wants the world to know that he’s done slutting it up and looks forward to eventually starting a family!
Mr. Brand has girlfriend Katy Perry to thank for his changed ways!
“It was a deep craving within me – I mistook it for lust,” the comedian told Britain’s GMTV. “I thought I was promiscuous, but it turns out I was just thorough – to get the right one. I’m ever so happy.”
While he’s still not sure if he ever wants to take the plunge and get married, he definitely has babies on the mind!
“I don’t know, get married, you say? That would be good, isn’t it? I want to have children – that would be good,” he said.
Katy isn’t just one of Russell’s typical whores! In fact, he met her parents for the first time in Austria last week!

Paula Abdul announced via Twitter this week that she will not be returning to FOX’s hit television show American Idol, but don’t worry, her spot will be filled!
The show, which originally starred three judges — Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, and Paula Abdul — brought fourth judge, Kara DioGuardi on board last season. Despite Abdul’s recent exit, Idol will continue with four judges, Fox chairman Peter Rice told the FOX Television Critics Association on Thursday.
Rice and producers “were hoping” that Abdul would return for the show’s ninth season, but she reportedly declined a 30 percent raise - an eight-figure, multi-year deal, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
What a greedy wackjob! Where else will she find someone to pay her that kind of money for her so-called talent and smarts?
“There is going to be a change and that change we have to look at that as being a positive change,” Rice said of Abdul’s exit. “It wasn’t a decision we made, but we have to look at it in a positive way.”
Rice and producers are currently in search of a fourth judge, but in the the meantime, Victoria Beckham and Kate Perry will join the rest of the Idol gang as guest judges in the seven weeks of taped auditions rounds, which begin Friday in Denver.
We will definitely miss Paula’s crazy antics, but we’re excited to see what the new season has in store for us!
Uh Oh — singer Katy Perry may be scaring away all her potential boyfriends by professing that she wants to walk down the aisle!
“I’d like to get married if I find that one everyone talks about,” according to the June issue of Cosmopolitian. “I’m not in a rush, but last night I was thinking, is it wrong for me to want to marry soon and have that feeling?”
It’s not wrong at all - it’s just wrong to admit it if you really want it to happen!
Even though Katy split from Gym Class Heroes’ Travis McCoy last January, she’s continued to spend lots of time with him.

She reveals in an interview with PopEater.com that she and an ex staged a wedding when she was 21 in Vegas to fool their friends and family members.
“We went to Vegas on a whim and we decided to get fake married,” Perry said. “We took all the pictures with the minister, with the fake cake, in the fake chapel and got a fake marriage certificate. We went and bought a wedding dress and a suit at a thrift store, and scanned the pictures and the certificate to my family members, my manager at the time [and] totally freaked the s— out of them.”
Perry says that she still has the wedding dress and the certificate from her faux wedding!
“It was the most hilarious, stupid prank I’ve ever pulled,” Perry said.
