Ryan Seacrest jokingly says that American Idol judge Simon Cowell will be a “self-center” husband!
While Cowell may be all about himself, Seacrest admits that the newly engaged Idol judge will treat his wife well.
“But he is very generous,” Seacrest tells Usmagazine.com.
Simon and makeup artist Mezhgan Hussainy stepped out this past weekend as an engaged couple as Hussainy donned a huge engagement ring estimated at $750,000!
“I hope that if they are building a life together, there aren’t too many mirrors around to distract him from his girlfriend!” Seacrest jokes again.
Ryan also let us in as to what he will be getting Simon as a wedding gift!
“My presence. No, I’m teasing!” Seacrest says.
Finally putting all jokes aside, Seacrest reveals he still hasn’t gotten an invite to the big day!
“I don’t know that there is a wedding,” he says. “I have not seen an invitation!”
After all these years of chatting up beautiful young ladies, Simon Cowell is ready to settle down with just one of them!
The American Idol judge is engaged to makeup artist Mezhgan Hussainy, multiple sources confirm to Usmagazine.com. Unfortunately, when called for comments, Cowell’s rep told Us, “Simon does not discuss his private life.”
While Simon may be keeping hush-hush about popping the question, Mezhgan had no problem confirming the exciting news to RadarOnline.com last Friday.
The hot Brit must be extremely private as he’s even tried to dodge the engagement questions from his best buddies!
“I spoke to Simon in London yesterday afternoon, just before he took his flight back to LA,” his longtime publicist and close friend Max Clifford told Us Feb. 18. “I asked him: ‘Look, are you engaged? Is it true?,’ and he said, ‘No! No. I’m not engaged.’”
Clifford did confirm to Us that Cowell and Hussainy were indeed “an item” and were “happy.”
Good thing this is Simon’s last season of Idol because we’re not quite sure how his fiancee would feel about him checking out the girl’s asses as they walk out of their auditions!
Despite recent reports claiming that Ellen DeGeneres is feuding with fellow American Idol judge Simon Cowell, she now says he wants a piece of her!
On Tuesday night’s show, the hot Brit became a bit too aggressive causing DeGeneres to move her seat at the judging table, now sitting next to big dawg Randy Jackson!
“We had a little problem and I felt like it’s safer over here,” DeGeneres joked. “The problem is: Simon wants me. He’s got, like, a thing for me, and I get it — but it’s not gonna happen.”
A little under the table action? Classy Simon!
“His hands are like wandering hands,” she continued before the screen flashed to a goofy fake clip from Hollywood Week of Cowell trying to hold her hand under the table.
Rumors have been flying all over the Internet that Simon Cowell recently got engaged to 36-year-old girlfriend Mezhgan Hussainy, but the reports are not true!
Cowell’s publicist and longtime friend Max Clifford spoke to Usmagazine.com and cleared up the confusion.
“I spoke to Simon in London yesterday afternoon, just before he took his flight back to LA,” Clifford says. “I asked him: ‘Look, are you engaged? Is it true?,’ and he said, ‘No! No. I’m not engaged.”
Simon has been dating the American Idol makeup artist since his 50th birthday last October, only six weeks after Cowell’s public split with girlfriend of six years, Terri Symour.
The rumors of an engagment began when Hussainy was spotted wearing a diamond ring last Sunday while out to dinner with the hot Brit!
More fuel was added to the fire when Simon made a British TV appearance gushing about his new lady!
“She’s the one…She’s very special,” he said. “I think I need to have little Simons around.”
Yikes! We think the world is perfectly fine with just one!
The rumors might be false but that doesn’t mean there aren’t wedding bells in the future!
“Yes, they are they an item,” friend Clifford explains. “Yes, they’re happy. But they’re not engaged. That’s straight from Simon’s mouth.”
Maybe Simon’s new found love will bring out a nicer side of him on American Idol, or at least the contestants can hope!
Ellen DeGeneres makes her highly anticipated American Idol debut tonight and we’re all eager to watch as she takes on Simon Cowell’s abrasive personality!
“Everyone’s making such a big deal of the tension, but there’s been a lot of fun on that panel,” DeGeneres told KIIS-FM’s Ryan Seacrest Tuesday. “Kara [DioGuardi]’s been great, Randy [Jackson]’s been great.”
Rumors hit the Internet one week after filming for the Hollywood auditions claiming that DeGeneres was very upset by Cowell’s diva tendencies, as he reportedly showed up more then an hour late forcing the rest of the crew to begin without him.
“When Simon showed up, he was p**sy that they started without him,” an insider tells Usmagazine.com.
But don’t worry, there’s no bad blood between the two! Cowell quickly apologized and Ellen “accepted it right away and was fine,” adds the insider.
Though she may not describe him as great, Ellen says Simon has some redeeming qualities.
“I think he’s a funny guy,” DeGeneres says. “”I like him on Wednesday['s show]. I like him on one day, I can’t remember which. He’s going to be a challenge. He’s Simon and I’m me and we’re two different people. We’ll see how it goes.”
Even with Paula Abdul gone it looks like we’ll still get our usual Idol judge drama, although it won’t be quite the same without our favorite crazy pill popper!
Reports are surfacing that Howard Stern, the King of All Media will replace Simon Cowell on American Idol. Howard says he’ll gladly do it… for $100 million!
The radio host addressed the situation in his show Monday morning, saying, “they’d have to pay me a ton of dough because I already make a ton of dough.” He continued by mocking the show, calling it a “(bleeping) kareoke contest,” reports RadarOnline
There has been recent speculation that Howard will leave Sirius, and with Idol in turmoil, many seem to think pairing him with Fox’s hit series will be a great idea.
However, we don’t completely agree… If you think Simon is mean to contestants, can you even imagine how Howard will act?! Sounds more like a recipe for disaster then a perfect match!

Ellen and Simon Butt Heads on Idol

Ellen Degeneres recently taped her first episode of American Idol and was taken aback by how harsh Simon Cowell really is!
“It’s hard to listen to him tell people things and me not to go, ‘You poor thing!’”
And with her free spirit and his rigid attitude, we weren’t shocked when reports surfaced last week about Simon already clashing with the daytime host, who makes her Idol debut Feb. 9.
At her first taping, Simon had just confirmed that this would be his last season of the show, and then proceeded to show up over an hour late. Ellen insisted they began work without him.
“When Simon showed up, he was pissy that they started without him,” a source admits.
But Simon apologized, and Ellen “accepted it right away and was fine,” adds the insider.
And although we imagine it’s not her favorite thing to do, Ellen says she’s “getting good at delivering bad news” to Idol wannabes.
“I’m trying to do it in a tender way,” she tells ET. “I hate hurting people’s feelings, so that, I think, is the hardest part.”
Additionally, Ellen says that there are “good people” this season, from which she’s had to “fight very, very hard to keep the people that I believe in.”
She continues, “We have a wide variety [of talent] … somebody for everybody, I hope.”
Hmmm, from the varied talent pool to Ellen vs. Simon, we can imagine this is a season definitely worth getting into!
Simon Cowell apparently couldn’t stand judging American Idol without his secret love, Paula Abdul, by his side!
Cowell — known for his ridiculously harsh critiques — has announced that he is leaving the hit Fox show when his contract expires after the 2010 season.
So what’s next for the British hottie?
He plans to use his judging and production talents on the American version of his British hit show, The X Factor, expected to premiere on Fox in 2011.
“Because of that this will be my last season on American Idol,” he announced Monday at Fox’s Winter Television Critics’ Association press event at the Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, California.
With both Simon and Paula gone after this season, we wouldn’t be surprised if Fox chose to throw American Idol in the can. Honestly, it’s entertaining to watch but it’s getting pretty damn old. Plus, we can only handle so much of Randy Jackson’s dawg pound!
“I felt like doing something different,” he explained. “I want to leave Idol this year bigger and better than it’s been before.”
Will Simon and Paula continue their sexual tension on The X Factor? As for rumors that she’ll serve as a judge on the show, Simon said, “I adore Paula. Whatever happens with her, I will be working with her in some capacity because I miss her.”
Maybe they’ll be working together in the bedroom! Regardless of their tiffs in the judging seats, these two seriously need to just get it on and relieve the tension!
BOOTS GIRLS EXCLUSIVE: Meet American Idol’s Next Superstar!

William Hung you can take your “She bangs! She bangs!” and step aside! We’ve discovered next season’s American Idol reject superstar and he hails from Chicago!
The very jet lagged Boots Girls hit up Chicago’s American Idol auditions on Monday afternoon at the downtown Hyatt where we encountered this disgruntled contestant.
Dude straight up sang destroyed Estelle’sAmerican Boy for judges Randy Jackson, Simon Cowell, Kara DioGuardi and guest judge Shania Twain.
We gave him an A for effort, but that clearly wasn’t enough to bump him to the next round.
Cowell called his performance “constipated.” After his botched performance, dude went on a full 30 minute rant in the lobby of the hotel and outside. Actually, it could’ve lasted longer than 30 minutes - we’re not really sure cuz we left!
Dude went on and on and on about how could he possibly go back to the South Side and look grandma in the eye and tell her he got rejected from the show. LOL! Then he went outside and screamed for five minutes about how badly he needed a cig until a friendly tourist handed him one most likely out of fear.
This was all caught on the AI cameras, of course, and The Boots Girls were in the background LMFAO!!!
We saw Jackson, Ryan Seacrest, Twain and our beloved Cowell! We snapped a pic with Cowell with the sunglasses on! We told Simon unabomber attire was very necessary after a five-day European drinking binge. He liked that; hence, why he’s laughing in the pic.
However, we don’t recall him laughing when we told him we couldn’t get over how short he is in person! Whatever Simon, you’re still hot and you’re still a pimp baller! Yum! Too bad he had some new bitch in town with him or else we would’ve moved in on that shit!
We also got to meet and hang out with Twain’s new boyfriend Frederic Thiebaud. Um, can we say gorgeous, charming, super friendly and HOT HOT HOT!!! And it wasn’t just because we were finally standing next to a Euro who didn’t stink like a Frenchman! Frederic was well-dressed, adorable in person and super cool. GO SHANIA!
We hid from Randy since we are buds with him and were suppose to be on an undercover spy mission and we totally ignored Seacrest just because. We don’t think that helped his short man complex…
