While Carrie Underwood and Jessica Simpson may have once had a mutual hate for one another, we suggest that the two blonde bombshells do lunch and bond over their ex, Tony Romo!
In an interview with Esquire, Underwood confirms that her song Cowboy Casanova was most definitely not about the Dallas Cowboys quarterback.
“No, I would never immortalize a guy that did me wrong,” the 26-year-old country star says. “I would never give him that much credit.”
Carrie fell for the Romo spell in 2007 before Jessica got her hands on the douche bag, but by October of that year, she kicked his sorry ass to curb!
“Point blank, he is about football. I don’t know if it’s that I’m not quite his type or whatever, but I don’t think he’s at the point in his life where he would be willing to sacrifice football,” she said at the time. “He hated so much that people thought that he was paying more attention to me and that was causing him to not do well.”
Unfortunately our girl Jess appeared to be too smitten over the d-bag, leaving him to dump her before she even had the chance!
While he once had the real thing, Tony probably now finds himself beating off to pictures of his former flings!

Moments later, she gave a personal shout-out to her ex-boyfriend, “‘Tougher Than The Rest’ YAY 9!”
We think she meant to say, “Asshole… just like the rest!”
It looks like Tony Romo isn’t over his ex-girlfriend, Jessica Simpson, even though he’s been linked to Candice Crawford.
Not only are Tony’s teammates urging him to get back with Jessica, but Romo himself has opened the communication lines with Jess. Apparently, the former lovebirds have been texting, according to ZackTaylor.ca.
“Tony and Jessica have been text messaging a lot these past few days,” an insider said. “They are trying to be friends again. That’s all I can say for now.”
I think the REAL question is — are they sexting? That would give us a better sense of the possibility of a reconciliation. We hope not - Jess can do much better than a douche bag who is so heartless to dump a girl the day before her birthday!

Just two months ago, Tony Romo dumped then-girlfriend Jessica Simpson the day before her 29th birthday. Now he’s already moved onto 22 year-old Candice Crawford whom he brings to the same Dallas restaurants he used to take Jessica to.
“She can’t believe it,” an insider tells In Touch Weekly. “She doesn’t want Tony back, but no one wants to see that their ex has moved on with a hot and younger girl.”
Luckily to make up for her treacherous personal life, her career is going great with her new VH1 show, The Price of Beauty. The poor girl is still a mess though. “This couldn’t have come at a worse time for Jessica,” the friend adds. “It’s opened up a lot of old wounds. She’s pretty insecure about herself.”
Unfortunately, this new insecurity is leading Jessica down a dangerous, yet familiar path. An insider recently revealed that the singer is secretly hooking up with her ex John Mayer, who unceremoniously dumper her back in 2007 after dating for a year.
“They’ve always had an amazing connection,” a business associate of Jessica’s tells In Touch. However, Jessica just keeps ignoring the advice of friends who remind her that the notorious player is just going to use her and break her heart like he’s done before.
“Jessica is kidding herself that her and John stand a chance,” says a source.

It looks like Tony Romo has already found a replacement for ex-girlfriend Jessica Simpson. The football douche is now dating Miss Missouri 2008, Candice Crawfod, who is Chace Crawford’s sister.
Apparently the little beauty queen is not happy the news of their romance leaked to the press.

At the bash Jessica picked up a $10,000 5-carat ring from party host jewelry designer Pascal Mouawad’s Black and White Diamond Collection, and eyewitnesses said you never would’ve guessed she was getting over a recent break-up.
“If you didn’t already know Jessica just went through a breakup, you really would have no way of telling from the way she was behaving at the event,” an eyewitness told EOnline.com. “She really seemed happy.”
Her pop reiterated the same sentiment.
“She’s good,” Joe said. “She’s doing very good.”
However, in Us Weekly is reporting that Romo is already dating recent college graduate, Natalie Smith, who’s dad is the athletic director from Romo’s alma mater, Eastern Illinois University.
Smith denied the romance and a rep for Romo declined to comment.

The blonde bombshell seems to be keeping quiet about the breakup and going on with her life. While Romo continues with his loser tactics, Simpson has been keeping busy working out again with her personal trainer in L.A., and going on movie dates with her mom and girlfriends.
