The stars from the Sex and the City sequel have been busy filming in New York City and the new issue of Life & Style is revealing top secret deets from the much-anticipated film.
“Never in my 15 years of doing this has any set been so strict,” a crew member told the magazine. However, that hasn’t been enough to keep the movie scenes under wraps, because Life & Style obtained a copy of the film’s shooting schedule. Holla!
It looks like there will be a gay wedding! The is an elaborate wedding scene taking place at a Connecticut inn with guests including Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, Miranda, Stanford Blatch — and Stanford’s mother and father! It looks like a gay union between Stanford and Anthony Marentino, and Liza Minnelli serves as the entertainment! “The scene is hilarious,” says an on-set insider.
It looks like Carrie and Big may be having problems in their marriage in their sequel because several scenes are shot in Carrie’s old digs. Big also runs into money problems with the bad economy. Sob!
Finally, it looks like Miley Cyrus may have a role in the flick. A day of shooting has been carved out for her, according to the schedule. “They’ve asked her,” an insider said. “But she hasn’t confirmed. Right now, they’re just holding the space for her.”
Love it! Love it! Love it! We can’t wait for the sequel to premiere!
Newly engaged Cynthia Nixon is dishing about her upcoming nuptials to her girlfriend.
The Sex and the City star is set to marry girlfriend of six years, Christine Marinoni, sometime before next summer.
Nixon told Extra: “My girlfriend and I got engaged last month. We’re hoping to do it in New York. We’re not going to wait forever, but we’re hoping it’s just around the corner…Sometime I think before the end of next summer, but we don’t have a date.”
Nixon flashed a ring during the interview.
“There is a ring,” Nixon said. “There’s a beautiful ring.”
Clearly Marinoni wears the pants in the relationship because only Nixon got an engagement ring.
“She did not get a ring,” Nixon explained. “She will have a wedding ring but she does not want an engagement ring.”
Nixon went on to say that they are set to film the Sex and the City: The Movie sequel in August and we can’t wait!!!

The stars of Sex and the City: The Movie have all signed on to do a sequel!
Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis have not only agreed to appear together on the big screen, but they’re getting some bigger bucks to do it this time!
“Not all the contracts are signed, but everyone is on board,” a source told the magazine. “It just happened.”
Another insider notes that all the leads are getting hefty raises this time around. The pay raises are more than appropriate considering the 2008 comedy grossed $150 million!
Chris Noth and Cynthia Nixon attended the opening night for Broadway’s A Man For All Seasons last night in New York City. I wonder if they were talking about doing a Sex and the City movie sequel.
Several of the Sex and the City movie stars have expressed interest in doing a sequel and apparently that’s just what’s going to happen!
The film executives are reaching out to get all the girls - Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis - on board, according to the new issue of Us Weekly.
“They’re starting to negotiate salaries,” an insider told the magazine.
The film is currently slated to come out in 2010 and we’re already counting down the days!
Unlike Ellen DeGeneres and fiance Portia De Rossi who have announced plans to wed soon in California, Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon won’t be rushing to the West Coast to marry boyfriend partner Christine Marinoni.
Nixon told the NY Daily News, “In an ideal world, we’d like to do it in New York, when it becomes legalized. Hopefully, it won’t take 20 years.”
Sex and the City: The Movie hit the red carpet in New York City last night for their premiere at Radio City Music Hall.
Most of the cast was there, including Kim Cattrall, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, Chris Noth, David Eigenberg, Jason Lewis, Jennifer Hudson and Mario Cantone.
SATC attracted tons of celebrity fans too like Fergie, Donald and Melania Trump, Ashley Olsen, Bette Midler, Emmy Rossum, Molly Sims, Mary J. Blige and Idina Menzel.

Cynthia Nixon Dishes on Sex And Life With Her Live-In Girlfriend

Cynthia Nixon gave a very candid interview with the May issue MORE magazine about Sex and the City movie (Yay! Yay! Yay!), her divorce and her current relationship with her live-in girlfriend.
Nixon also revealed to Good Morning Americatoday that she was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago and explained that she didn’t want to make it public then so paparazzi wouldn’t follow her to the hospital.
On the SATC stars’ chemistry even though they never auditioned together before being cast: “It’s a strange miracle that we all came together over time. It was kismet.’”
On the reunion and taping of Sex and the City movie: “Our assistant director had to talk to the crowd and say, ‘We’re rolling now; flash photography or making noise can ruin the shot.’ But basically people were fans, so they respected that. The very first day, there was a shot of the four of us walking on the streets in heels, and it was wonderful and very freaky. There was a sense that we were one four-headed, eight-legged organism… It was great to be together doing a thing we love to do.”
On gratitude to her character Miranda: “I get opportunities because of the show and admiration for the work, but also because it’s like, ‘Oh, she’s sexy. She was on that sexy show.’ I was 31 when I did the pilot, and it’s a very happy occasion for an actress getting older that people decide you’re sexy for the first time. Sex and the City put me in a different league.”
Words of wisdom courtesy of George Clooney on not taking your role so seriously: “Kristin [Davis] tells this story about when she was on Melrose Place, and she worried about making the scenes believable, and George told her, ‘Honey, it’s a romp. Just go with it.’ I feel like I could use that advice.”
On her parents and growing up: “My parents had professional jobs but certainly never a lot of money. They were a very particular kind of New Yorker that, as prices get more and more expensive here, is getting
harder to find. [Hunter College High School, the public school Nixon attended]… was very high-pressure and un-fashion conscious. It was the high school of nerds.”
On parenting during divorce and separation: “We did this thing called Bird’s Next. You make a nest where the parents fly in and out. [The children stayed in the family apartment and the parents took turns
visiting.] You have to stay focused on what’s best for the kids: If you have a kid who’s in denial about your breaking up, it can continue the denials. But it worked for our kids.”
On the home and romantic dynamic between Nixon and Marinoni: “Christine [Marinoni-dating Nixon since September 2004] had been toying with taking a leave of absence, and when the movie started, it made her jump off the cliff. We had been living together for a while at that point, and it was a time for her to figure out what she wants to do next. She said that she always thought a big part of my personality was being a housewife, doing all the things and running here and there…and now, of course, she’s totally taken on that personality trait.”
On turning 40: “Turning 40 was a very real thing for me. I felt it in a way that I didn’t when I turned 30 or 35. Forty was a peak: I could look forward and I could look back. I had to start thinking, the decisions I make count, and what are the thing I want to do? [Singing was something] I was definitely afraid of. It’s incredibly revealing and intense. Part of it was that my mother is a wonderful singer, and she encouraged me as an actress, but with the singing?-not so much.”
On taking leaps into the unknown: “As I get older, I try to think about that, instead of saying ‘I can choose from these five things; which is best?’ Because what I really want might not be any of them . When I was 20, I think I needed to be told, ‘Don’t only do things you can control. Risk a lot more.’ Now it’s great to be taking risks.”
Sex Reunites On The Red Carpet For First Time In Years!

The Sex and the City girls reunited on the red carpet for the first time in, I kid you not, four long years last night! The girls smiled and struck a pose with arms linked at the Point Honors The Arts event in New York City.
This photo paints a much different picture than their last red carpet shot did. I did some research and I’m pretty sure the last time the girls were photographed together on the red carpet was in 2004 at the Golden Globes.
This is right around the time Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker were feuding over the details of doing the Sex movie, which explains why the only pics snapped of them together at the Globes that year were with Tom Cruise.
Since the girls were cat fighting at the time, I guess they used him as a buffer! Lol!
Cattrall was noticeably absent from all other group photos of the girls snapped Golden Globe night.
