Rosie O’Donnell and Star Jones have settled their quarrels and are planning on staring in a reality show together!
Back in 2006 the former View co-hosts’ feud began when Rosie criticized Star for not disclosing her gastric-bypass surgery. Now, they are civil towards each other and can bond over their mutual hate for Barbara Walters.
“They get along quite well and have a wicked sense of humor when they’re together. Everyone keeps telling them they need to capture it on camera and now they’ve decided to,” a TV insider says. “They know people will tune in to see them.”
Although reps on both sides are denying the story, the show will combine elements of Oprah and Gayle King’s cross-country trip with Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie’sThe Simple Life trek reports In Touch Weekly. “They want to show their different personalities as they cope with real-life situations and determine if their new friendship can stand the stress of it all,” says the insider. “They’re hoping to be the new Lucy and Ethel of reality TV.”
The two most disgusting talk show hosts in television history joining forces could be very funny, or VERY dramatic, nauseating and annoying. Either way, we’ll definitely tune in!
Star Jones is speaking out about how she was treated during her departure from The View in 2006 and it’s not pretty.
“Those girls were hateful,” Jones told Essence magazine for their November issue. I think this is just absolutely comical. I’ve met Jones, Elisabeth Hasselback and Barbara Walters. The only person who was rude and “hateful” was Star! She needs a dose of reality.
Jones also opens up about “falling into a depression” after losing her self-titled Court TV show last year; her ongoing dispute with Walters and her divorce from the flamboyant Al Reynolds.
Al Reynolds appeared on CNN’s Headline News last night to defend rumors that he’s gay and to speak about his relationship with ex Star Jones.
“This is a difficult time for her and it’s a difficult time for me,” Reynolds said of Jones. “Right now it’s just a little tender. Our relationship is a little tender.” No, that’s not gay at all!
We couldn’t help but notice that Star Jones and New York socialite Denise Rich appear to be the new Lindsay Lohan and Samatha Ronson, because they appear to be attached at the hip just as much as Rohan! Rich and Jones have been frolicking all around the French Riviera together for the Cannes Film Festival.
The only difference between the two couples, is that you can’t tell who the man is with Rich and Jones! Not only that, Rich and Jones kind of look alike in a creepy way.
As we reported yesterday, Star Jones slammed The View co-star Barbara Walters for writing about her in her new tell-all book.
Walters wrote in her tell-all bio Auditions that Jones asked her to lie about her gastric bypass operation, claiming her miraculous weight loss was via Pilates and food-intake management.
Jones says Walters is lying and even called her an “adulterer”. Oh…the drama!
This is Walter’s latest statement about her war of words with Jones:
“I only have good memories of Star and I’d like to keep it that way.”
Well, I highly doubt she only has good memories of Star, but I’ll believe Walters over Jones any day of the week. Star is a joke! She is the biggest lying hypocrite. Her whole life is a lie! Her weight loss. Lie. Her marriage to Al Reynolds. Lie. I’ve met both Jones and Walters. Walters is an honest and legitimate journalist and Jones is a freak show. Jones was by far one of the most offensive “celebrities” I have ever met. I wish I could have those ten minutes of my life back!
Someone’s bitter. And she goes by the name of Star Jones.
During Barbara Walters’ candid interview on Oprah yesterday the legendary media personality claimed that after Jones had her gastric bypass surgery she asked Walters to lie for her.
Star is NOT happy about it. In a statement to Usmagazine.com she said:
“It is a sad day when an icon like Barbara Walters, in the sunset of her life, is reduced to publicly branding herself as an adulterer, humiliating an innocent family with accounts of her illicit affair and speaking negatively against me all for the sake of selling a book. It speaks to her true character.”
Ouch.
Walters’ rep told Us, “I will not dignify this with a comment. Barbara’s written words say it all!”
Star Jones has filed for divorce from her gay husband Al Reynolds. Are we supposed to be surprised?
Jones issued this statement:
“Several years ago I made an error in judgment by inviting the media into the most intimate area of my life. A month ago I filed for divorce. The dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time in anyone’s life that requires privacy with one’s thoughts. I have committed myself to handling this situation with dignity and grace and look forward to emerging from this period as a stronger and wiser woman.”
I wonder if Jones cited “fraud” on the divorce papers like Renee Zellweger did when she divorced her gay husband Kenny Chesney?
Star Jones and Al Reynolds took this creepy picture at Sky Bar at The Shore Club over the weekend in Miami. I can’t imagine what those two do BEHIND close doors!
Star aka Galaxy Jones celebrated her new Court TV series at the NASDAQ opening bell in Times Square New York City yesterday. I hope her departure from “The View” has taught her some humility. I met Jones four years ago and she was a big time diva. I’m being nice by calling her just that. Court TV is one of my favorite channel’s, I hope I don’t have to ban it.
