The stars of the upcoming comedy Bounty Hunter, Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler have yet to confess to any romantic involvement. The movie’s director however admits the two are awfully good at faking it!

“When you have that chemistry [between actors] you’re like ‘Thank God!’ because they’re having fun on day 45 and day 65 and they’re still flirting,” director Andy Tennant tells Usmagazine.com.

“Gerry likes to have fun, Jen likes to have fun, they don’t take themselves seriously — which is a big mistake people assume with Jennifer, but she’s a riot!” Tennant continues. “So we went out [during filming] and had a good time.”

But what about the talk of Jen and Gerry hookups? Jen blames Gerry! “He starts those rumors! It’s his fault!” she told one reporter, laughing.

“Gerry is the best,” she added. “He’s funny and handsome. Nice combo!”

And Gerry chimed in too! “We have a natural chemistry. You can see it in our magazine shoot and the film, we have a great time together.”

In their new movie, the actors play ex-lovers reunited in a crime investigation. One GMTV interviewer asked Jen if she thought exes could get back together in real life.

“Absolutely!” She replied. “Sometimes you meet each other a time in your lives and you’re not necessarily ready…you’re not fully formed to have maturity it takes to be in a relationship…It’s not all black and white.”

Hmmm, maybe Gerry and Jen really aren’t together and this is her telling us of a potential reunion between her a Brad??!

Who isn’t Gerard Butler being linked to these days? He’s such a playboy… and our girl Jessica Simpson is now in question of being his most recent fling!

Butler — who had been rumored to have dated Jennifer Aniston and Cameron Diaz — was seen chilling with Simpson and her hairstylist Ken Paves Tuesday night at NYC’s SoHo House.

The two “seemed to only be interested in each other and chatted for hours,” a spy told the New York Post’s Page Six.

Well it’s not like Gerard would be chatting up J.Simp’s gay BFF Ken! We wouldn’t be surprised if it were the other way around though!

Simpson and Butler have yet to comment on the recent claim, but a source close to the singer tells Usmagazine.com, “There is nothing romantic there at all.”

So F-W-B maybe? You know Ken wanted in on that action too!

We think Jess needs a steady guy in her life right now… not just just someone who’s going to mess with her emotions!

And yet again… lonely lady Jennifer Aniston is linked with another poor bacholor. This time, Gerard Butler.

So how does Butler handle the ridiculous relationship rumors???

By cracking jokes about it!

“Conan [O'Brien] asked me about Aniston, who is my costar in the movie I’m making now, and I just said, ‘Yeah, we’re getting married. What the he–,” Butler tells Parade Magazine.

“Tell a joke, that’s my technique,” he continues. “I learned as a kid how to stay out of trouble: make it funny.”

To continue the joke, he opened up about the other women he plans on escorting down the aisle.

“I’m careful to also say that I’m marrying Cameron Diaz and maybe Joan Rivers. I like to tell everyone I’m going to be a busy guy.”

However, while it seems like this bachelor has his way down with the ladies, Butler wasn’t as smooth with his costar from The Ugly Truth, Katherine Heigl.

“Truthfully, one time I was supposed to play with Katherine’s hair and I kept forgetting my lines,” he admitted. “I was so nervous that I grabbed her breast. Afterwards, all I could do is say ‘I’m sorry.’ Yeah.”

How did they overcome the awkwardness???

“We went back to our trailer and made out after the dancing scene,” he quips.

Gerard’s got jokes! None as big as his desperate-for-love costar Jen though. Sorry girl, but your obsessive attempts at forging a love life are getting reeeal tired. Get a new hobby.

A telephoned bomb threat at The Beverly Hills’ Four Seasons Hotel forced Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler to put their Ugly Truth press junket on hold on Saturday.

During the two-hour break, police investigated the premises while the actors mingled with fans and snapped photos on the street outside the hotel before sneaking into nearby restaurant Il Cielo.

Additionally, Gerard found himself among the AC Milan soccer team, who was also staying at the hotel before their match against the LA Galaxy, reported RadarOnline.com.

Following their final sweep of the hotel, the actors and guests were invited back into the hotel to resume the event.

Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler are a dating?! Ha, yea right! Even the two stars can’t help but laugh about the rumors!

“It depends what mood I’m in, [but] most of the time I just laugh it off,” Gerard tells Usmagazine.com

“The first few times it’s happened, I actually got really upset by it because you think, ’somebody made that up,’ and it’s a little bit ridiculous. But then you think, ‘Oh, you know what…it’s just silly. Then there are days it just frustrates you,” Gerard says. “One day, we had dinner when we first discussed the movie, and that day she had been linked to three different people! I was already one of them.”

Jen, he says, “completely” laughs about reports the Bounty Hunter costars were dating after being spotted arm-in-arm on set.

“Listen, there’s nobody that’s been more subject to these rumors than her, so I think she’s just learned to…most of the time, you can blow it off,” he says.

Regardless of the ridiculous rumors though, Gerard says he’s had a blast working with Jen!

“She’s like my best buddy,” he admitted. “She’s so down-to-earth, so easy going. She’s incredibly self-deprecating and again, just alive! I’m having fun doing this!”

“I’m lucky right now!” he continued. “Little boy from Scotland did good!”

I’ve seen the preview for “P.S. I Love You” a few times now and I have to admit I can’t wait to see it!

The film stars Hilary Swank as a young widow who unexpectedly loses her husband, played by Gerard Butler, to an illness. The twist is that before he died he wrote her a series of letters and notes that will guide her to start a new life and rediscover herself.
