David Duchovny’s recent success in rehab for sex addiction couldn’t save his marriage. After ten years of marriage to actress Tea Leoni, the couple has split.

“They have in fact been separated for several months,” a statement from the couple explained.

Admitted sex addict David Duchovny checked out of a sex addiction rehabilitation center.

“David is out of rehab and about to start a new movie,” his lawyer told People. “He successfully completed his treatment.”

The X Files actor entered rehab in August to treat his sex addiction and save his marriage with actress Tea Leoni.

Duchovny reported to People.com, “I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction. I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family.”

If this is a publicity stunt for the release of his new X Files movie he could’ve at least chosen a less embarrassing addiction!
