R. Kelly’s divorce was finalized yesterday and in true rock star form, the R & B singer naturally threw himself an elaborate house party to celebrate his new life as a single man and his birthday!

R. Kelly’s Olympia Fields house, just outside of Chicago, was packed last night with mostly wall-to-wall girls to celebrate his divorce and his birthday, according to an inside source.

The Ignition singer went all out for his party by performing a full set with dancers and even had a hype man to rile up the crowd before he got on stage.

“He pulled out all the stops,” according to a party-goer. “I felt like I was at the United Center!”

The party lasted until about 3 a.m. in the morning.

We couldn’t get any pics, because R. Kelly is super strict about not allowing any cameras in his house.

Hmmm, that’s odd - we wonder why!

R. Kelly and his wife of 11 years, Andrea Lee Kelly, announced through through their lawyers Thursday that their divorce has been finalized.

The couple will have joint custody of their three children.

The couple went through many ups and downs during their marriage and they filed for divorce in 2006, but were still trying to make things work.

I’m sure we’ll be seeing R. Kelly out and about in the Windy City more now that he’s officially a single man again — minors beware!

R&B singer R. Kelly was found not guilty by a jury of nine men and three women today in a Chicago courtroom.

Kelly was charged with 14 counts of videotaping himself having sex with an underage girl and was found to be innocent on all 14 counts, after deliberating less than a day. Prosecutors said the girl in the video was as young as 13.

This has been going on for six years and had Kelly been convicted he would have faced a minimum of four years in prison and a maximum of 15 years, along with having to register as a sex offender in Illinois.

R. Kelly appeared in a Chicago court this morning where a date was finally set for his trial on accusations of filming himself having sex with a minor.

Cook County Judge Vincent Gaughan slated the opening arguments to start on October 13.

TMZ reported yesterday that R. Kelly didn’t show up for his Chicago court appearance because his four tour buses were pulled over by the police in Utah after they were seen going over 100 mph!

Once the buses were pulled over the drivers failed to provide updated log books, which state each drivers sleep and driving info.

The buses were confiscated, leaving Kelly and the rest of his crew without wheels!

A warrant was to be issued today for Kelly’s arrest if he didn’t show up in court. Lucky for him, he avoided the slammer and found a way back to the Windy City, arriving 20 minutes early for his 9 a.m. court appearance!

The judge issued a continuance of today’s hearing until tomorrow, which means the R & B singer will be in court again tomorrow morning. A trial date is expected to be set because of charges against Kelly pertaining to child pornography and a 2002 video tape in which Kelly allegedly taped himself having sex with an underage girl.

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah…yeah! So our friend’s mother got her nails done at the Orland Park Mario Tricoci recently. During her manicure, a blinged out brother sat down at the station next to her for a MANicure as well.

The Blingy Brother struck up a conversation with mom and asked her if she knew who he was.

When she said “no” he started busting out tunes.

After about four songs the mom still did not know who the hell was sitting next to her, but everyone else in the salon appeared to know and they were in hysterics.

Then the man began singing “I Believe I Can Fly”. Finally a song mommy dearest knew!

Turned out the super star at the salon was our friend R. Kelly. He’s known for his impromptu performances in random public places! LOL!

The DNA test results to determine who the father of Anna Nicole Smith’s baby may come back today. Here’s a photo of Smith with a tattoo on her back of herself with DannieLynn. (I never realized she got this tattoo till I saw this photo today!)

Creepy Fact: R.Kelly was the last guest to stay in the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel room in Hollywood, Florida that Smith passed away in, according to a source. The R & B star checked into the presidential suite of the hotel for Super Bowl weekend. Kelly never made it to the big game on Super Bowl Sunday. He was instead rushed to a nearby hospital for an emergency appendectomy. Since he checked out of the room that Sunday, Smith checked in the next day and passed away in the same room a few days later. Yikes!

Meanwhile, the Boots Girls and I stayed in the Hard Hotel that week as well and checked out the day after Smith checked in. However, our new hotel friend, The Beet (we named him that due to his beet red face) hung out with Smith at the pool just days before she passed away.

I saw Robert last night in the lobby of the Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood. He told me that he just rolled in and needs to catch up to me since I have been here drinking since Wednesday. R hosted a party with P.Diddy at Space last night.

Jamie Foxx and his entourage headed over to Enclave nightclub Saturday night after his concert at the Allstate Arena. I partied with his buddy R. Kelly and his peeps at a VIP table until the club closed. Read more in my column here.

Pouring shots of Sex on the Beach into the mouths of “the ladies” is Foxx’s signature move. I’ve been one of his shot victims. He needs to work on his aim - he wastes too much alcohol!

R. Kelly greeted me with a bear hug and blew me kisses all night in his booth. Awww
