In her first interview since giving birth to four-month-old twins, Charlie and Dolly, Rebecca Romijn reveals to Extra how she lost all her baby weight without even hitting the gym!

“I think within the first three weeks, I took off like 35 pounds without doing anything,” Rebecca tells Extra “I haven’t been able to work out that much because I have twins. It’s impossible to get back into a regular schedule.” .

Her biggest secret though, “Breastfeeding is the very best diet…It’s like you have to eat 5,000 extra calories a day or you can’t produce enough food for them.”

Well, that and Spanx. “We’ve got Spanx underneath almost everything…”

And while motherhood is absolutely wonderful, filming her new flick, The Love Child, has been slightly difficult.

“It’s been complicated for a number of reasons. Our hours have been really late and we’re working outside of Toronto in Hamilton which is about an hour away and I am still nursing [the babies] around the clock. So, we have to do a lot of milk runs…”

Luckily Rebecca’s husband, Jerry O’Connell, has been more than helpful with the twins. “He’s so awesome. He’s just like totally on diaper duty. I think he’s having a really good time also.”

So how are the twins? “They’re really smiley and not fussy…For four months old, it’s supposed to be really difficult but I have to say, it’s just fun.”

Sounds like Rebecca is perfectly happy! Great husband, great, kids, GREAT body… who could ask for anything more!

Talk about one proud papa. New dad, Jerry O’Connell, co-hosted Live with Regis and Kelly today and boy was he gushing.

“I don’t want to be one of those guys who is like, ‘Look at my babies,’ ” O’Connell joked with Kelly Ripa. “The second you have kids, you can’t help but be like, ‘I happen to have some photos of my children.’ “

The actor and wife Rebecca Romijn welcomed twin girls, Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip, on Dec. 28.

O’Connell continued gushing, adding that he’s super-thrilled to have twins. “These are my first kids and Rebecca’s first kids, and you can’t imagine just have one. It’s so much fun to have two of them. You throw them in the crib and they just play with each other.”

He seems like such an amazing new dad. Click here to watch the video and let us know if you think it’s as cute as we did.

Jerry’s Scottish Adventure

April 29th, 2008

jerryoconnellireland.jpg

Our buddy Jerry O’Connell recently finished 7th with his team in the Drambuie Pursuit adventure race in Scotland against ten other teams including his brother’s, Charlie O’Connell.

The race included grueling tests of spirit including speedboat and dirt buggy races, hill climbing, kayaking, whitewater rafting, biking and other feats of endurance on their journey from the Isle of Skye to Inverness. Yikes!

The race celebrates the voyage of Scotland’s famed Bonnie Prince Charlie as he escaped across the Scottish Highlands after a defeated attempt to regain the British throne. To thank his loyal followers, Prince Charlie gave them the only thing he had left: the secret recipe for Drambuie.

Sounds like a fairytale, right? Doesn’t Jerry look like a knight in shining armor? Jerry really has the whole package. He’s nice, funny, outgoing, good looking, athletic and so nice to all of his fans especially when he was here in Chicago as we reported.

Jerry O’Connell Vs. John Corbett

April 8th, 2008

Jerry O’Connell and John Corbett were both recently in Chicago for a few weeks to film their upcoming flick Baby On Board.

The Boots Girls and our readers had encounters with both stars and we couldn’t help but notice how night and day Corbett and O’Connell were.

As we reported several times, O’Connell was super nice to everyone he met and interacted with here in the Windy City. I got tons of e-mails from fans and people on the set and everyone, including us, raved about him.

Corbett, not so much!

I was at one of my regular neighborhood bars, Rande Gerber’s Mexx Kitchen at the Whiskey, a few weeks ago and I ran into O’Connell and Corbett. I had already met and done work with O’Connell. So, naturally, O’Connell introduced me to Corbett. When I whipped out my hand to shake Corbett’s, I heard “eh”.

Not a hi, hello or even a hey. It was like the first sound you make when you wake up after a long night of drinking. As if that wasn’t bad enough, he fully turned his back me! Not to talk to someone else, he turned his back to stare at a wall. WTF! I couldn’t believe how incredibly rude he was.

I wasn’t going to call him out, because all celebrities have their bad days and I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. But then I started hearing stories from other locals who had the misfortune of encountering him as well…

O’Connell and Corbett both filmed at a Chicago Equinox for one of the movie’s scenes. O’Connell chatted and hung out with the movie crew and health club staffers. Meanwhile, Corbett was very unfriendly.

“He didn’t talk to anyone and was kind of rude,” according to a source. “I think he was hung over or something because he pulled out a mat and took a nap in the middle of the gym during the shoot!”

Nice one John. Maybe you should pick up some real-life acting tips from your down-to-earth co-star!

“I think he’s just bitter because he’s not in the Sex and the City movie,”, another source said.

Probably! I’m glad Carrie ended up with Mr. Big - Big has way more class than that!

jerryoatnicksfishmarket.jpg

The cast and crew of Baby on Board filmed at Nick’s Fishmarket in Chicago from about 5 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

A spokesperson for Nick’s Fishmarket told The Boots Girls, “Jerry O’Connell was very friendly and was sure to meet as many people as possible, posed for pictures, shook hands with everyone and was great.”

We’re told that Heather Graham was pretty absent when she wasn’t filming a scene, often running back to her trailer.

During their lunch break O’Connell feasted on a filet that he ordered done medium, while Graham dined on shrimp cocktail, roasted salmon and the abalone dish.

“The whole cast and crew was having a great time, laughing and excited about the movie,” the rep told us. We’re excited for it too!
