Eminem gets by with a little help from his friends!
Well, we’re not entirely sure if they’re on the BFF level yet, but Em has sought out Elton John to help him fight his drug problem.
“I’ve been helping Eminem over the last 18 months and he’s doing brilliantly,” John says, reports the British Press Association.
During an interview with BBC Radio 5 in the U.K. on Saturday, the 62 year old legend spoke openly about his own past issues with substance abuse and how he uses it to help others.
“I’m there if people want my help. If people ask for help you tell them where to go but there’s no point advising people if they don’t want to do it,” Sir Elton explained.
Last year, Eminem admitted to suffering an intense drug addiction that caused him to down as many as 20 Vicodin, Ambien and Valium in one day day.
“The numbers got so high,” he told Vibe magazine, “I don’t even know what I was taking.
After his first stint in rehab in 2005, the rapper also admitted to almost overdosing after consuming unidentified blue pills, which he later learned was methadone.
Like Captain Planet, Elton John came to his rescue! A potential pill popping duet in the future maybe?!
On Thursday, the rapper premiered a new song, The Warning, in which he bashes Carey by going into full details about a sexual encounter they once had.
“Only reason I dissed you in the first place is because you denied seeing me. Now I’m pissed off,” he says before he starts his rap.
She probably refused to see you during your fat days, you weren’t looking too hot back then, Em!
“You wanna hear something wick wack?/ I got the same exact tattoo that’s on Nick’s back,” he says, referring to Carey’s husband Nick Cannon.
Hm, bitter much? Sounds to us like he’s pissed that Mariah fired back with her much more successful song, Obsessed, in which she mocks him throughout the entire music video.
Eminem is really making it a priority to piss Carey off, and has even stooped as low as threatening to release personal pictures he has of the diva.
In his new single he asks, “Mariah, it ever occur to you that I still have pictures?”
Carey claims that the two never dated, so who really knows if any of this nonsense is true. We recommend that she take the higher road and continue to let Em look like a loser.
Mariah Carey is firing back at Eminem in her new video Obsessed by dressing up just like Slim Shady and mocking him.
Carey wore sweatpants and a hoody, Em’s fave outfit, as she shot scenes for her video Monday on the streets of New York City.
This is clearly in response to her lyrics from Eminem’s recent album Relapse where he trashes Carey rapping: “Mariah whatever happened to us…Why did we ever have to break-up?”
He also knocked her husband, “Nick Cannon, you better back the f— up. I’m not playing, I want her back, you punk.”
Cannon shot back at Em on his blog “Slim Lamey,” is “still obsessed with my wife, the same female that wouldn’t let him get to second base from 8 years ago.”
A writer for MTV has confirmed that Eminem was in on the stunt Sacha Baron Cohen pulled at Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards.
Cohen, dressed up as his flaming gay character Bruno, landed half-naked on top of Slim Shady as he flew across the audience in a grand attempt to present an award.
A pissed off Em yelled “get this motherf*cker off me” before storming out of the awards show and viewers wondered whether or not the rapper was in on the joke.
“Yes, the Eminem-Bruno incident was staged,” head writer Scott Aukerman wrote on his . “They rehearsed it at dress [rehearsal] and yes, it went as far as it did on the live show.”
So there you have it. Apparently, Eminem can take a joke!
For someone who earns millions for making fun of celebs, you’d think Eminem would be able to handle a silly prank at the MTV Movie awards — especially when he’s in the loop!
At Sunday’s awards in LA, Sacha Baron Cohen flew over the crowd and strattled his but-naked ass around Eminem’s face. The rapper, who appeared extremely pissed off an immediately stormed out of the arena, surprisingly knew about the prank beforehand!
The producer for the show, Mark Burnett cleared the prank with the rapper in advance, however Eminem wasn’t aware of exactly how naked Sacha would be, an MTV insider told Life & Style.
Oh and get this, Burnett approached Paris Hilton first! “Paris is quite happy she turned down the offer,” the insider said.
Get over yourself, Slim Shady… you’re such a drama queen!
Anyone who tuned into the MTV Movie Awards last night witnessed Sacha Baron Cohen piss off Eminem.
Cohen, in character as the flaming gay Bruno, presented Best Male Performance at the show and made quite the entrance.
Cohen flew into the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif., in a costume sporting huge white wings strapped to overhead cables and shorts exposing his butt cheeks. He was lowered right over Eminem and his crotch landed in the rapper’s face with his legs and bare ass wrapped around his neck.
“Are you serious?” Em shouted. “Get the f*ck off me!”
“Nice to meet you,” Cohen replied.
Eminem’s bodyguards ripped Cohen off of him.
“Hey, don’t touch me! I’ve already got a boyfriend!” Bruno yelled.
Eminem and his bodyguards stormed out of the awards show after the incident. No one knows for sure yet if he was in on the joke - most speculate that he wasn’t judging by his raw reaction.
Really Eminem?? ? Here Eminem talks smack about other celebrities more than anyone in the business and now he’s going to be pissed about Bruno??? I mean, COME ON!!! He shouldn’t dish it if he can’t take it! Storming out of the theater pouting like a toddler made him look like such a pussy! We’re guessing he’s dealt with worse situations and people on 8 Mile Road before than the mastermind behind Bruno and Borat!
Eminem is calling a truce with Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon after ripping them in his new rap album.
Cannon slammed Eminem on his blog for trashing Carey in his new song, Bagpipes From Baghdad, and even called him Slim Lamey. Ouch!
In the song Em raps: “I want another crack at ya…Nick Cannon better back…up. I’m not playing, I want her back, you punk…Nick Cannon, you pr—, I wish you luck with that f—in’ whore.”
However, Eminem said it’s all a big misunderstanding and that he really meant to say he wishes them the best.
“What I actually meant to say is, I wish them the best,” Eminem said in an interview with the BBC. “That’s what I meant to say. That’s the whole message of the record.”
It must’ve been opposite day when Slim Lamey wrote the song! Remember that game you play in kindergarten where you tell someone you hate something nice and then inform them it’s opposite day??? Everyone should know by now that everything that comes out of Slim’s mouth, especially in his albums, cannot be taken seriously!
Nick Cannon Tells Eminem- “Don’t Rap About My Wife!”

Nick Cannon is pissed about Eminem rapping about his wife, Mariah Carey, in his new song, Bagpipes From Baghdad, where he claims he wants “another crack” at Mimi.
Besides Em rapping “I want another crack at ya” — he also sings “Nick Cannon better back…up. I’m not playing, I want her back, you punk.”
In his blog, Cannon writes, “I felt sorry for him because he must really be stuck in the past. Not only has his music not evolved, but also homeboy is still obsessed with my wife, the same female that wouldn’t let him get to second base from eight years ago.”
“What type of grown…man lies about getting with a chick? Only Slim Lamey! LOL!” He continues.
Eminem can get pretty shady in his music, but come on Nick… take it easy. It’s art - everything Lamey says is satirical!
Now that Slim’s back in the scene, Eminem is opening up about his drug addiction that brought him near death.
“It’s no secret I had a drug problem,” he tells Vibe magazine in their June/July issue.
“If I was to give you a number of Vicodin I would actually take in a day? Anywhere between 10 to 20. Valium, Ambien, the numbers got so high I don’t even know what I was taking.”
In 2005, the rapper spent some time in rehab after nearly dying from an overdose of unidentified blue pills given to him by an acquaintance.
“My doctor told me those mysterious new pills were Methadone, which is used to wean heroin addicts off dope,” he says. “Had I known it was methadone, I probably wouldn’t have taken it. But as bad as I was back then, I can’t even say 100 percent for sure. My doctor told me the amount of Methadone I’d taken was equivalent to shooting up four bags of heroin. Even when they told me I almost died, it didn’t click.”
Unfortunately, after his previous overdose, Eminem suffered from a knee injury but could not obtain pain killers due to the doctor’s fear of another addiction.
“I started looking around my house to see if I had a stash box of Vicodin. I’m ransacking my house, finally find something in the basement, in a little napkin, seven and a half Vicodin — the big extra strength ones — and a few Valium.”
This second overdose finally lead him to realize he was indeed an addict.
“It never once hit me that drug addiction runs in my family,” he says. “Now that I understand that I’m an addict, I definitely have compassion for my mother. I get it.”
Now, sober for a year, the rapper is back in action, dropping his newest album, Relapse on May 19. “I wanted to make an overall statement — I’m back,” he says.
“Rap was my drug. It used to get me high and then it stopped getting me high. Then I had to resort to other things to make me feel that … now rap’s getting me high again.”
We’re glad he’s back…back again! It’s nice to hear you’re resorting to a more positive high and something we can all benefit from!
Billy O’Reilly blasted Eminem on his show Wednesday for slamming Sarah Palin in his new video We Made You, and we’re sure Slim couldn’t be more pleased with the publicity.
In the rap Eminem has this to say about the Alaska governor: “I’ll invite Sarah Palin out to dinner, nail her baby, say hello to my little friend.”
O was not pleased with Em’s sex invite to the former V.P. candidate.
“Few Americans take the vile rapper Eminem seriously,” he said. “He represents the lowest form of entertainment in this country and is a publicity hound to boot.”
No one takes Eminem seriously; however, O’Reilly is giving him credibility by even acknowledging the satirical rap song.
“Kids see it, not adults,”” O’Reilly said. “No one over 25 listens to him.”
However, O’Reilly does make a valid point by saying that he’s surprised women’s groups and left wing media outlets are not protesting the rapper. He went on to say that if Travis Tritt made a derogatory reference about Hilary Clinton or Michelle Obama, O’Reilly says media outlets would “kill him.”
That is true. There definitely is a double standard out there with the left wing media when conservatives are bashed as opposed to liberals. That said, we usually agree with O’Reilly, but we think he’s a sucker for even reporting this story. Eminem bashes celebrities and politicians all the time strategically so people like the humble FNC correspondent react.
Note to Bill: You just helped the “obscene” rapper sell who knows how many more CDs by mentioning him and we’re sure Slim Shady is laughing all the way to the bank!
