A few celebrity Cubs fans are looking into investing in their beloved sports team.

The roster of Chicago stars - including some of our fave celebes such as Jim Belushi, Bill Murray and John Cusack a.k.a. The Parasite - have had talks with Tom Ricketts who is negotiating to buy the team from the Tribune Co., according to the Chicago Tribune.

These celebrity Cubs fans have met with Ricketts over several weeks ago and are considering to dish out as much as $25 million.

Representatives for Murray, Cusack and Belushi all declined to comment.

We hope Belushi scores a piece. The Boots Girls saved Belushi at the Detroit Super Bowl a few years ago after he was deserted by his Town Car during a blizzard. We gave him a joy ride to the Playboy party and we’d welcome dope Cubs ticks to return the favor!

Diehard Cubs fan John Cusack told producers of his next movie that he refuses to miss his beloved team in the play-offs, even if it means just not showing up for work on game days!

The Parasite, who is always spotted in Wrigley Field, is booked to make a new movie throughout October, but he’s told producers they’ll have to work around the Cubs’ schedule. You tell ‘em John!

“I told the producers, ‘I’m going to the Cubs’ play-off games so I can’t be on the set those dates.’ Either they’ll reschedule or I’ll be AWOL.”

You know, there’s not much John and I agree on, but he’s right on about this! Go Cubs!

With the Cubs kicking a** this season, there’s been tons of celebrity sightings at Wrigley Field this summer. John Cusack and a few other celebs were spotted entering the historic field’s VIP entrance to see the Cubbies kill the Washington Nationals for the second day in a row yesterday afternoon.

Longtime Cubs fan Eddie Vedder was spotted at the game yesterday as well as Friday and Saturday. As you can see, Vedder sported a Cubs jersey with “Obama” printed on the back.

Finally, Jesse Jackson strolled into the hot stadium wearing a black long-sleeve shirt. Someone needs to get that man some Cubs gear!

For those of you who have read my column and blog, you may know that John Cusack is often spotted riding his mountain bike around Chicago. You should also know that I’ve reported that Cusack has picked up chicks at local bars and rode them home on his mountain bike. He literally puts them on the handlebars, no joke!

Well, last night I saw Cusack cruising around Chicago on a scooter. The boy’s moving up in the world! Cusack cruised around the Viagra Triangle with Stanley’s owner Donnie Kruse without a helmet all night.

Guess he’s not a safety boy. Cusack will be throwing out the first pitch and singing at the 7th inning stretch at the Cubs game at Wrigley Field this Sunday.

Lady GaGa and Akon performed at Manor in the Windy City on Friday night and Chicagoan John Cusack showed up to take in the show.

Boots Girl BFF John Cusack was in New York Friday night with Amanda Peet for a screening of his new flick “Martian Child” at the Hamptons Film Festival.

This movie looks a little odd. It’s about a widower (Cusack) who adopts a 6-year-old boy who claims that he is from Mars. Seems a little sci-fi for a romantic comedy!

Today is Chi-Town boy John Cusack’s 41st Birthday!

My favorite Chicago celebrity John Cusack posed for a photo with Hilary and Haylie Duff Tuesday night in Los Angeles for the 1408 premiere.

Some of the Boots Girls were strolling down Rush Street yesterday when all of sudden we heard a “parasite”. Sure enough, it was one of the Boots Girls BFFs, Donnie Kruse who called me a parasite while he was riding his bike with John Cusack. Ha!

“Cusack you parasite,” I shouted back.

Cusack called me a parasite back in the day by mistake. But now we’re cool. We’ve been through so much together.
