Clay Aiken finally apologized for talking crap about American idol runner-up Adam Lambert.

Aiken posted a blog saying Lambert’s rendition of Ring of Fire was “contrived, awful and slightly frightening” and thought his “ears would bleed,” according to ExtraTV.com.

Wow! Little harsh don’t you think Aiken?

Especially for somone’s whose album was not a hit. Aiken now is blogging a different tune when the backlast set in, “I never assumed my opinion mattered so much! I guess I may have been wrong…I do apologize to Adam for my colorful and negative choice of words. I hope he can forgive me.”

Clay, you sure say and do dumb stuff…just like when you pissed of Kelly Ripa for putting your hand over her mouth!

Clay Aiken has a new baby and a new boyfriend!

The American Idol is currently dating Broadway dancer Reed Kelly, according to Star magazine.

“Everybody knows Reed as Clay’s guy,” a Broadway insider says of the Wicked ensemble member. “Clay met him when he was doing Spamalot in early 2008, and that’s one of the reasons he came back to the show again.”

They even appeared together at Rosie O’Donnell’s Building Dreams for Kids gala last month. “It was obvious they were a couple,” a partygoers says.

I’m sure they felt right at home at Rosie’s charity event!

American Idol judge Simon Cowell gave a reaction to Extra about the news that former Idol Clay Aiken is gay.

“Wow. That’s a shock,” Simon sarcastically joked. “It’s like being told Santa Clause isn’t real. Unbelievable.”

But all jokes aside, Simon said, “Good for him. If he said it, it’s the right thing for him. Good for him.” Cowell also doesn’t think Clay’s fans will abandon him. “I don’t think anyone cares. Let’s face it. It’s 2008. You know. Who cares?”

Ha! I knew Simon out of all people would have a witty comment on Clay coming out. I’m glad he’s supportive too though.

After many years of not acknowledging his sexuality to the public, Clay Aiken is coming out of the closet and telling the world that he’s gay.

“It was the first decision I made as a father,” Aiken told People magazine. “I cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things. I wasn’t raised that way, and I’m not going to raise a child to do that.”

I’m not the only one who’s not surprised, right? “Whether it be having a child out of wedlock, or whether it be simply being a homosexual, it’s going to be a lot,” Aiken said of the impact his announcement will have on his fans.

Aiken came out to his mother Faye, a born-again Christian, four years ago and said, “She started crying. She was obviously somewhat stunned. But she was very supportive and very comforting. She still struggles with things quite a bit, but she’s come a long way.”

As for his brand new son, Aiken said, “I have no idea if he’ll be gay or straight. It’s not something I’ll have anything to do with, or that he’ll have anything to do with. It’s already probably up inside the code there … No matter what the situation you’re in, if you’re raised in a loving environment, that’s the most important thing.”

I applaud Clay for wanting to raise his son with complete honesty, even if that means opening up to the whole world!

Clay Aiken is a baby daddy! Aiken fathered the child with good friend Jaymes Foster and the two have a strictly platonic relationship, but plan on raising the baby together.

In a post titled Welcome To Our World!, Clay had this to say on his blog about the arrival of his baby son this morning:

Not my way to tempt fate. But I wanted to stop by, if only for a second, so you could be the first folks I tell…. HE’S HERE!

My dear friend, Jaymes, and I are so excited to announce the birth of Parker Foster Aiken (No hyphens. One first name. One middle name. One last name.)

Parker was born at a hospital in North Carolina just this morning at 8:08 AM. Wow… 8:08 ..08/08/08

Weighed in at 6 lbs 2 oz and measured 19 inches

The little man is healthy, happy, and as loud as his daddy. Mama Jaymes is doing quite well also.

The Aiken family, the Foster family, and the Parker family are all thrilled.

When Clay speaks of the Parker family, that is the surname of his late stepfather who he was very close to and helped raise him. No word yet if Aiken and Foster plan on having more children together.

Clay Aiken is going to be a daddy!

It’s true. Apparently music producer Jaymes Foster was artificially inseminated by the American Idol crooner.

According to People.com, Jaymes’ brother, producer David Foster’s, rep told them, “It is true Clay is the father. She was artificially inseminated by Clay. She’s due in August.”

Jaymes, 50, and Aiken, 29, have been best friends since Idol and he reportedly stays at her L.A. pad when he’s in town.
