Jerry Springer Singer!
April 30th, 2008
Daytime talk show host Jerry Springer crooned to a packed house last night at McCormick & Schmick’s in Chicago’s Gold Coast.
Springer picked up the microphone to raise money for the Park School in Evanston and it’s a cause close to his heart.
The Boots Girls chatted with Springer at the event and he told us, “It is a school for children who are profoundly disabled, mentally retarded, as well as physical disabilities. It’s trying to get these children as fulfilling a life as possible within their abilities. They do great work.”. Springer continued, “My daughter works there so I’m trying to raise money.”
When we asked if he’d been training for his big singing debut Springer exclaimed, “I don’t know how to sing!” He even went on to make reference to his stint on Dancing With The Stars and said, “I sing like I dance which gives you an idea!”
Despite his lack of skills, Springer said he’ll be making a guest appearance at the finale of this season’s Dancing With The Stars.
