We’re sad to report that our boy Steven Tyler is back in rehab for pain management and an addiction to prescription painkillers!

Tyler canceled his tour with Aerosmith after falling off stage in August and breaking his shoulder. He’s also struggled with an addiction to painkillers as a result of 10 years of performance injuries.

“With the help of my family and team of medical professionals, I am taking responsibility for the management of my pain and am eager to be back on the stage and in the recording studio with my bandmates Joe Perry, Joey Kramer, Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford,” Tyler said in a statement released to People.

“I love Aerosmith; I love performing as the lead singer in Aerosmith,” he adds. “I am grateful for all of the support and love I am receiving and am committed to getting things taken care of.”

His family, including daughter Liv, said they couldn’t be more supportive of his decision to check back into rehab.

Liv released this statement: “My family and I are in complete support of my dad’s decision to seek treatment. He is a courageous man. We love him and are so proud that he is getting help to balance his pain management, not just for himself but for his family, friends and fans.”

We hope ST makes a quick recovery so he can WALK THIS WAY back into the studio and into another summer tour! Until then, we’ll just have to rely on our Aerosmith Guitar Hero for entertainment!

Aerosmith announced Thursday that the rest of their summer tour is dunzo!

The news comes more than a week after the band’s lead singer Steven Tyler fell off the stage in South Dakota, according to CNN.com.

“Due to injuries Steven Tyler sustained last week when he fell from the stage during a concert in Sturgis, South Dakota, doctors have advised the lead singer to take the time to properly recuperate from the accident that resulted in a broken shoulder and stitches to his head,” the band said in a statement.

Tyler dropped to the floor at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in western South Dakota while dancing during Love in an Elevator. Hmm, was he not paying attention when he approached the end of the stage? You’d think he’d be extra cautious after already falling earlier on this tour.

“Words can’t express the sadness I feel for having to cancel this tour,” said guitarist Joe Perry. “We hope we can get the Aerosmith machine up and running again as soon as possible.”

“We never anticipated this tour coming to such a swift and unfortunate ending,” guitarist Brad Whitford said. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to Steven for a speedy recovery and return to good health.”

We’re glad we didn’t waste money buying tickets to the show!

Paramedics airlifted our buddy Steven Tyler to the hospital Wednesday night after falling off stage!

The 61-year-old rocker attempted to entertain fans with “a crazy, spinning chicken dance” at the Aerosmith show in South Dakota, according to TMZ. However, apparently he can’t kick it like he used to because he ended up flying off the stage!

The Boots Girls traveled to St. Louis Wednesday for the opening night show of Aerosmith and encountered some deadly weather. A as a storm with intense thunder, rain and crazazy lightning ripped through the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater minutes before Tyler and the boys were about to take the stage.

So the show was delayed for an undetermined amount of time and people were instructed to go back to their cars to take cover. We were about to die at the hands of a tornado and/or at the idea that the band may have to cancel the show altogether.

So Tyler kindly gave us shelter backstage and provided us with an impromptu vocal warm-up session to prep for his pending show. I was so excited to see Steven again - I’ve met him a couple of times before and featured him in my first RedEye column - that I kept almost saying the wrong thing!

“Hey Stephen, you look like this chick who works out at my gym,” I almost told him. Yeah, I scratched that once I realized he may not consider it cool for someone to basically tell him that he’s a dude who looks like a lady!

Then I almost told him I featured him in my first column before realizing it may freak him out knowing there’s a reporter hanging out backstage.

So then I just didn’t talked. I bit my tongue and stared at the skull and bones on the crotch of his skinny metallic silver leggings!

A few minutes later, the storm lightened up and the boys were cleared to rock! There’s nothing like Mother Nature swinging by and providing her own light show and bass!

The show was amazing! The boys sounded great, the lights and special effects were spectacular and they didn’t skip a beat all night.

On to the next show!

The boys will perform their first show in three years today in St. Louis.

Liv Tyler is the actress daughter of famous Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler, but now she wants to be like dad and sing on stage!

“I would love to do a musical - like on Broadway. That’s like the dream of my whole life,” Liv confessed . “I always wanted to be a singer. Or get to sing. I haven’t been able to do that, and I would love to do that.”

Looks like the latest star to hit rehab is Areosmith’s Steven Tyler.

According to TMZ.com, 60 year-old Tyler checked himself into Las Encinas Hospital’s drug rehabilitation clinic in Pasadena, Calif. for substance abuse treatment.

Tyler’s been clean for over 20 years when he completed a strict drug rehabilitation program in 1986. What went wrong?

After the Aerosmith show was canceled in Chicago last week I was devastated and worried about da band! However, I was relieved to see photos on-line of Steven Tyler rocking out in Toronto Tuesday night. He looks better than ever. His show is re-scheduled for Monday, Sept. 24 and I can’t wait!
