Elizabeth Edwards reveals in her new memoir that upon hearing news of husband John’s affair she threw up.

“I cried and screamed, I went to the bathroom and threw up,” she wrote in Resilience (due out May 12), according to the New York’s Daily News.

Elizabeth, who is also tragically battling terminal breast cancer, says that John told her about his affair with Rielle Hunter just days after declaring his run for president in 2006 and “left most of the truth out”.

It wasn’t until almost a year later that the story was broken in the National Enquirer.

She urged John to drop out of the race to protect herself and their three children and he ignored her.

Elizabeth suggests in the book that she forgives John for the affair and that they are now on better terms.

“I lie in bed, circles under my eyes, my sparse hair sticking in too many directions, and he looks at me as if I am the most beautiful woman he has ever seen,” she writes. “It matters.”

Yeah so beautiful that he was driven to have sex with another woman over the course of a long-term affair. Why she forgave that self-indulgent pig is beyond us!

It looks like John and Elizabeth Edwards are headed for divorce after the former vice presidential candidate admitted to having an adulterous affair.

Elizabeth was spotted giving a speech on Monday in Washington D.C. and you can clearly see in the video that she is not wearing her wedding ring.

A source also told the New York Post that John is no longer living with Elizabeth and that the couple have separated.

That woman has been through a lot — maybe she can lean on Madonna for support!

Edwards did an interview with ABC’s Nightline, which will air tonight, and admitted that he DID in fact have an affair with 44 year-old Rielle Hunter but that he never loved her.

As for his alleged love-child with her Edwards denies that it’s his, even though no paternity test has yet to be taken.

Here John is cool chillin’ like a villain with Russell Simmons. I thought Simmons hated me since he told me I am “worse than Bill O’Reilly” after I asked him some tough gangsta questions a couple years ago at a press conference at the Chicago State Street Marshall Fields.
