Giuliana Rancic weighs in on gaining a few lbs in Hollywood!

The E! anchor, who’s currently struggling to get pregnant, is opening about about the media obsessing about her weight… or shall we say, lack there of.

Most recently, celeb blogger Perez Hilton advised Rancic to gain a few pounds: “”You’ll look so much better and you’ll be that much more likely to have a baby.” While we rarely agree with the creep, we think G should take his advice!

“Even tonight, I got a Google alert that I debuted my pre-baby weight gain,” the E! anchor told Usmagazine.com after the Oscars Sunday.

“I work in a really superficial industry,” she continued. “I mean, I am getting Google Alerts saying, ‘You look good with the weight gain.’ They don’t realize they’re being mean by saying you look good fatter. It’s enough to drive any girl a little crazy. But it’s okay. What can I say? There’s nothing I can do about it.”

Maybe it’s time to do away with Google Alerts?! While we understand girls (especially those in Hollywood) are very self-conscious about their image, everyone’s telling the girl she looks BETTER with a little extra meat on her bones, not WORSE. We think Perez, who’s known for throwing countless digs at celebs, fully intended for his comment to be a compliment.

Since Giuliana and hubby Bill Rancic have been doing the nasty day ‘n’ nite hoping to get preggers, she says she hasn’t been hitting the gym as often.

“I used to run a lot, because I loved it, but now I don’t do it as much,” she said. “I always ate healthy. Just because I have to gain weight doesn’t mean I am going to go to a drive through and pig out on fast food. I eat very clean.”

A cheeseburger every now and then won’t kill ya… especially after a night of heavy drinking! Live a little…

Bill and Giuliana Rancic are set to star in a Style Network reality-TV show featuring their lives as newlyweds similar to the MTV show which shot Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson to fame.

The show will follow them settle into marriage and juggle their long distance relationship - Bill spends most of his time in Chicago and Giuliana is in L.A. for her job with E! News.

“People are intrigued by how we are able to navigate a marriage that often has us 2,000 miles apart,” Rancic told Crains Chicago Business. “Bottom line, I’m never leaving Chicago and her job is in L.A., so we make it work. Apparently that makes for some pretty good TV.”

Giuliana has Twittered about the upcoming show: “So exciting! Bill & I are doing a reality show about our modern marriage”.

She went on to say the show will follow them “building their Chicago dream home” to hanging out with their “outrageous” families.

It should be an interesting show and we’ll be watching!

The week just began and of course there’s Britney drama going down already. Apparently, Britney Spears and shady manager Sam Lutfi got into a fight outside her L.A. home today. After causing a scene, she reportedly stormed back into her house and called paparazzo boyfriend Adnan Ghalib to come over.

However, Ghalib had no luck getting past the gate. Spears’ security would not let Ghalib in and apparently the cops and Spears’ father showed up.

Who knows what the heck is going on in there! I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m kind of getting sick of all the Britney Spears BS! While I was in Sundance, I interviewed Giuliana Rancic who has proposed a Spears ban on E! News. I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad idea.

I caught up with my friends Bill and Giuliana Rancic at the Picabo Ski Challenge dinner benefiting National Children’s Alliance and the Children’s Advocacy Center Saturday night at The Chateaux in Park City.

I love this. Giuliana told me that she proposed to her boss at E! President Ted Harbert last week (a Boots Girls friend too!) that they ban all Britney Spears stories on E! News until she gets help or checks into some kind of a facility where she can get mental help. Here’s her reasoning:

“We’ve been leading with them [Britney Spears stories] everyday. Yes they get us great ratings, but maybe we should stop until she checks in to get help. I don’t think you do it for two weeks or for a month. You do it till she gets help then we start the stories saying she got help. But I think it’s getting to a point where if she is indeed bipolar then it’s wrong to be following her around. The other scenario is if she’s doing this for press and messing with us then we shouldn’t be showing it either and be kind of putting money in that pot. Either way, we should stop. I figure why not do it and we’ll challenge the other news shows and we’re having that conversation Monday.”

My friends and neighbors (they live practically next door to me!) Bill Rancic and Giuliana DePandi got hitched in Capri, Italy yesterday.

The couple had a Catholic ceremony in both Italian and English delivered by Rancic’s family priest who’s based in Chicago.

Rancic told me him and DePandi will live in both L.A. and Chicago for the next year, but ultimately the Windy City will be their home.

Nah! Bill Rancic’s fiance Giuliana DePandi was spotted not wearing her engagement ring last week. Despite rumors, the lovebirds are not in trouble. Rancic told the Boots Girls that he was simply getting a new setting for her ring. Aw! The two are set to wed this Fall in the South of Italy. Bill Rancic and Giuliana DePandi celebrated their engagement party at the W-Lakeshore in Chicago last Saturday. Those fools in love are set to get hitched this summer in Italy.

We hung out with Bill Rancic and Giulliani DePandi at the Marquee gifting suite today. Everyone in Sundance was talking about and rooting for Da Bears! Only a few more hours till the big game. Go Bears!

My friends Bill Rancic and E!’s Giuliana DePandi got engaged over the weekend in the Windy City. Rancic proposed over deep dish pizza and Cristal in a helicopter with a view of the Christmas lights on Michigan Avenue. DePandi was shocked, according to a source. She did not think Rancic had bought the ring yet. After their helicopter ride Rancic took DePandi back to his downtown digs, which he had filled with roses. Did Giuliana cry? Yes. Was Bill nervous?
