The Boots Girls got the opportunity to attend the Red Bull Air Race in Detroit over the weekend with Bears superstar and Red Bull athlete Devin Hester.

Before the races took off, we caught up with Hester at the Red Bull Air Race bash on Saturday night where he dished about da Bears. Of course!

Hester is feeling extremely optimistic about the new Bears players especially quarterback Jay Cutler.

“It was a great and unexpected move,” Hester said. “I am expecting a really good season.”

Hester said he hopes to be down in Miami next February for the Super Bowl and so do we. (We already booked our tickets!)

Hester rode in the helicopter with camera crews videotaping the race planes during the qualifying round on Saturday afternoon. Hester said he was chosen to represent the thrill seeking company because of his love for “speed” and “having fun”.

Paul Bonhomme took the first place prize home on Sunday in the World Championships, which took place over the Detroit River on the Canada-U.S. river.

I channeled my inner Sasha Fierce super powers last Thursday morning to go up for a joy ride in the Red Bull Air Race stunt plane and survived!

My Spanish pilot, Sergio Pla Merino, took me up from the Signature Charter at the Palwaukee Airport and gave me a run for my money.

Before we hopped in the two-seater plane - the Red Bull peeps so kindly strapped me up in my parachute and taught me how to use it.

“If I say ‘bail out’ - I’m not kidding,” Pla Merino said as we strapped into the plane. “Bail out means jump out of the plane immediately.”

With that, I kept my hands on my seat belts the whole time and began to unstrap them every time Pla Merino said a word with a B in it! It didn’t help that it was a super windy day and every time turbulence brought the plane down I was preparing to bail out.

Once we reached our destination I told my Goose Man to go all out because I wanted to be cool like Maverick in Top Gun.

Probably not the wisest decision, because Pla Merino did.

We did flips, loops around the helicopter carrying my Prime Time Chicago camera crew and when we couldn’t find the airport - - Pla Merino flipped the plane over for our whole journey back so we “could find it”.

I never get nauseous, but I almost threw up during this crazy aviation experience. After we landed I pretty much collapsed on Pla Merino and almost fainted.

However, a little air sickness was well worth the experience - I was high as a kite all day from the rush! Chicago Bear Devin Hester and Keanu Reeves have also gone up in the Red Bull plane.

Red Bull is racing the bad ass plane on June 13 in Windsor, Canada for the Red Bull Air Race and we’ll be there along with a slew of celebrities!

Devin Hester breathed a sigh of relief last night when weather conditions caused the cancellation of a helicopter stunt show he planned to partake in for a Windy City Red Bull event.

Hester, who is a new spokesperson for Red Bull, was scheduled to arrive in Chicago in a helicopter for an event at Lumen to celebrate his new partnership with the energy drink. However, due to poor conditions along the East Coast, the helicopter was unable to leave its base in Florida so the team settled for an Albatross aircraft instead. To only further the disappointment though, the weather conditions were even too severe for this aircraft to perform so all stunts were nixed.

“It was disappointing” Hester told The Boots Girls. “I had built up all the nerves for the event, but due to snow storms and tornados we just couldn’t do it.”

This probably came as a huge relief to Bears’ team officials and it was all good in Hester’s book too. The football star insists that he doesn’t need a helicopter to give him wings.

“Red Bull gives you wings!” Hester exclaimed.

Hester says he’s a perfect match for the speedy drink because likes to do crazy and exciting things.

“I’m the type of guy who looks for excitement and doing crazy things,” Hester said.

Hester, a Florida native, has enjoyed living in Chicago. Being from Florida, made it a rough transition, but he did say, “I love Chicago. Besides the cold weather, it’s a great city.”

However, in the short time he’s given off between seasons, Hester takes full advantage of getting out of the cold climate. This off-season, Hester has spent his time traveling and exploring the world. He said, “When we do get time off, we try to get it all in.”

Fortunately, he made it back to the Chi-Town in time to attend the occasion that celebrated his partnership with the energy drink. Accompanied by many friends, and girlfriend of two years, Miss Zingha Walcott.

Well, it seems that Hester has found his match with Red Bull! We certainly know that the energy drink has notoriously made The Boots Girls a little crazy during our nights out - so a guy who loves to do “crazy things” is a perfect fit to represent the dangerous drink!

Blinged up Bears star Devin Hester was spotted on a flight today from Chicago to Miami getting into a not so bling car owned by his girlfriend.

Hester was pimped up in head-to-toe Gucci! The baller rolled out of the plane in South Florida in a Gucci hat, shoes and carried a Gucci tote bag and backpack.

However, fans were baffled when they saw the high roller getting into his girlfriend’s beat up jalopy after picking his luggage up from the terminal.

“We couldn’t believe this designer wearing famous football player was getting into such an old beat up jalopy,” an eyewitness said. “We were in shock. There’s no way he shouldn’t be able to buy her a nice $30,000 BMW.”

Hester took pics with fans and told them that his Miami-based girlfriend was picking him up.

Maybe the multi-millionaire superstar Bears player’s New Year’s resolution should be to find a way to spend his money on someone besides himself!

Chicago Bears star Devin Hester swung by the Deerfield, Ill. Home Depot yesterday to do a little shopping.

Hester told associates at the store that he’d just bought a house in the area and needed to pick up a few things, which included tiki torches and window treatments.

“He was really, really nice and didn’t mind that people wanted photos and autographs,” Danielle told us (pictured above with Hester). “He was really down to earth.
