Fallen pop princess Britney Spears has been cleaning up her act lately and it looks like her music career may be next on her list of things to fix. Brit is teaming up with producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins who has also been off the music scene for a few years.

Jerkins told Rap-Up TV, “I love working with her. I’m just trying to reinvent her and reinvent myself with her project.” He also said that Spears’ new album, which is scheduled to come out in early 2009, is “very dancey, really uptempo, in the clubs, real aggressive, and catchy.”

Jerkins called Britney “a professional” and said, “It usually takes people a long time to record songs and we just did a song. She walked in at 8:30 and was out by 10:30 — did the whole song — in and out.” That sounds like the Britney we remember! Good luck Brit!
