Former NBA player Charles Barkley has been talking about running for governor of Alabama in 2014, but any hopes of that coming true were most likely squashed early this morning when Barkley received a DUI with Steve Urkel riding shotgun!

The NBA Hall of Famer was pulled over for running a stop sign around 1:30 a.m. in Scottsdale, Ariz., police told E! News. According to the incident report, Lt. Eric Shuhandler sensed alcohol on Barkley’s breath and administered standard field sobriety tests.

At least Barkley cooperated with the police and didn’t make a scene like most celebs would.“He was cooperative and respectful during the entire incident,” Shuhandler said.

We’re not sure what’s worse, getting busted for a DUI or getting busted with Steve Urkel (Jaleel White) in your car. As the cops rolled up, can’t you just hear Urkel saying: “Did I do that?”

Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! Well, at least Barkley was sober enough to tip 20% on a bill that was almost $2,000!
