On Monday morning, Michael Jackson’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray. was charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with MJ’s death, the Los Angeles County DA’s Office announced in a press release.

At the time of his death, back in June 2009, Murray was Michael’s live-in doctor.

According to the DA’s press release:

“Dr. Conrad Robert Murray, 56 was charged in case No. SA 073164, filed at the Airport Branch of Los Angeles Superior Court. The count alleged that Murray “ did unlawfully, and without malice, kill Michael Joseph Jackson…in the commission of an unlawful act, not amounting to a felony; and in the commission of a lawful act which might have produced death, in an unlawful manner, and without due caution and circumspection.”

Arraignment will be held later Monday.

Although authorities have ruled Michael’s shocking death as a homicide, Murray has been kept in the spotlight since the tragic event. A lot of the controversy revolved around Propofol, a strong anesthetic Murray was giving MJ. However, through his attorney, Murray claims he never gave Michael anything that “should have” killed him.

However, Janet Jackson and othre family members have publicly noted that they hold Murray responsible for Michael’s death because, as Janet publicly stated, “he was the one who was administering.”

Finally, a little closure to this devestating and overwhelming case.
