It seems to be a rough week for Hollywood couples!

Coming off news of Kate Winslet’s split from hubby of seven years, Sam Mendes, new details of a doomed relationship emerge!

According to sources, the marriage first showed troubling signs while the couple filmed the movie Revolutionary Road.

Mendes directed the acclaimed film, while Winslet reunited with good friend Leonardo DiCaprio in a film about a troubled marriage. The theme seems a bit ironic now!

“Sam told friends Kate would talk about the film the moment they woke up, and it was overbearing,” a source tells Usmagazine.com says.

The situation only got worse when the pair took time off in 2009 to spend time together.

“They went stir-crazy and argued more than ever,” the source spills.

The Hollywood couple then chose to end it when Winslet took on a role for the miniseries, Mildred Pierce, which was filmed in New York and leaving her hubby alone in London.

Winslet told Mendea, “Your career is not more important than mine,” the source says.

Well what we have here is the typical Gigli effect — work together… and it’s dunzo!
