Jennifer Love Hewitt and boyfriend Jamie Kennedy aren’t gearing up to say, “I do” just yet.

The New York Post reported earlier this week that Kennedy proposed to Hewitt on stage at the Laugh Factory in Long Beach, Cali., Saturday night after the crowd yelled, “Marry her!”

Awww! That would’ve been super cute but unfortunately the rumors aren’t true!

“There is no truth to the report,” Hewitt’s rep told Usmagazine.com.

So maybe no engagement just yet, but marriage has apparently come up in conversation!

Last month, Hewitt revealed to a Los Angeles radio station that she’s given Kennedy a proposal timeline.

“By this time next year, if we’re not planning something, then there’s a situation.”

Sounds to us like J.Love is itching to tie the knot! She’s probably still bitter from her breakup with actor Ross McCall who called of their engagement late last year.

“Breakups are awful. They’re really painful,” she told Ellen DeGeneres in April. “They really hurt. They really suck on lots of levels, but what I think is great about life is that the universe always brings you something really beautiful and great afterward — and that’s kind of where I am now.”

Hopefully Jamie is that something beautiful…
