Erin Lucas is leaving The City after only one season!

The NYU grad, and Whitney Port’s number one pal on the show, has already shot some scenes for the upcoming second season, but will no longer be on the show, her rep told Usmagazine.com.

“It never hurts to try something new, but when you’re born to do something, chances are you’re going to wind up doing it no matter where you detour,” Lucas’ rep told Us. “The latest proof comes from Erin Lucas, who loved her hosting career and never meant to stray … until The City beckoned. Nice while it — and her friendship with Whitney Port — lasted.”

Sounds more to us like Whitney and Erin had a falling out!

Lucas, who’s previous hosting credits include mtvU, has already received job offers and is working on new projects.

This new season is sure to be interesting! We’ll watch Whitney lose her city BFF and all the drama that unfolds with hottie ex-boyfriend Jay Lyon!
