Ryan O’Neal And Farrah Fawcett To Marry!
Farrah Fawcett isn’t letting her battle with anal cancer stop her from marrying her longtime love Ryan O’Neal.
Fawcett, who was diagnosed in 2006, is now “fighting for her life,” but has agreed to marry O’Neal in what could be her last days.
” I’ve asked her to marry me, again, and she’s agreed,” O’Neal told Barabara Walters in an exclusive interview on ABC’s 20/20, airing Friday, June 26.
O’Neal says they “will” wed “as soon as she can, say yes. Maybe we can just nod her head.”
How sad!
The actor and his soon to be wife have joked about what their ceremony will be like. O’Neal kiddingly said he’ll dress “like a gigolo. You know? And a little thin mustache and slicked-back hair. I don’t know. We have fun, we tease about it.”
It’s great that these two can keep a happy face on and joke during such a difficult time.
O’Neal and Fawcett began dating in 1980 and have a 24-year-old son Redmond together, who is currently in rehab for previous drug convictions.
Although they’ve been an on again off again couple, O’Neal told NBC News just last month that he’s fallen more in love with Fawcett since her diagnosis.
“I know this, that in the last two years I loved her more than I’ve ever loved her - ever,” he told Meredith Vieira. “She’s so much more of a woman … powerful, courageous, fearless and all those adjectives. And I look at her with awe.”
We hope Farrah’s able stay strong and tough it out for her special day!

this story is super sad! ryan’s comment about maybe just nodding her head for her makes me want to cry!

Oh this is so sad. I really do hope she can pull through and enjoy her life as a married woman! The whole “nodding her head” thing though is a little morbid…
