Kate Hudson and Marion Cotillard just landed at Chicago’s O’Hare airport on the same flight from L.A.! The girls are gearing up to tape Oprah tomorrow in promotion for their upcoming movie, Nine.
It looks like Johnny Depp and Vince Vaughn are Hollywood’s hottest new best man friends!
There isn’t one girl on the planet who doesn’t have a crush on Capt. Jack Sparrow, so we were not the least surprised to hear about VV’s man crush on the global superstar!
Vaughn and Depp both were in the Windy City last week tearing it up. Depp premiered his Public Enemies film on Thursday night and hit up two after parties with costar Marion Cotillard. On Friday night, Vaughn bar hopped with fiance Kyla Weber at The Wit Hotel rooftop and Stay.
The stars must’ve been aligned on Saturday, because that’s when Depp and Vaughn collided. Depp and Vaughn were spotted sharing their mutual love for Chicago and their passion for boozing together at the Peninsula hotel, where Depp had been holed up for a few days.
The movie stars were spotted dining at a table together in one of the hotel’s swank restaurants. However, this wasn’t the first time they had hung out.
“They met a little while back while they were both in London,” according to a source. “They were thinking about going out and partying Saturday night, but didn’t make it.”
Depp doesn’t hang out with other celebrities too often, because he can’t stand Hollywood. (Either can we!) However, when he’s in his favorite U.S. city - that’s clearly not the case!
Johnny Depp and Marion Cotillard got very cozy at the Chicago premiere party for Public Enemies on Wednesday night.
Both stars walked the red-carpet separately at the AMC River East theater. Depp’s longtime girlfriend, Vanessa Paradis, didn’t make the trip while Christian Bale arrived with his wife Sibi. Even though this was the world premiere of the flick, Paradis’ absence comes no surprise to us considering that she didn’t come to visit Depp once when he filmed in the Windy City all last summer.
Depp announced the film after meeting with fans on the red-carpet and then headed to the after-party along with Bale, Cotillard and director Michael Mann at the River East Art Center. Depp only stayed for about 30 minutes before heading to Gibsons for a private party.
Cotillard showed up at the Windy City hot spot a little later and about 20 people from the film including Mann hung out in the private party room.
However, Cotillard and Depp seemed to be having their own private little party rocking. The French actress and Depp, who lives in France, sat in a corner and spent most the night talking in French over several bottles of wine.
“They were in their own little world speaking in French”, according to eyewitnesses. “They seemed very close and comfortable with each other.”
The couple stayed at the restaurant until almost 3 a.m. and left through a private exit. Even though Cotillard had her own car, she hopped into Depp’s SUV.
A boozy Depp yielded the assistance of his bodyguard as he stumbled to his vehicle and Cotillard covered her face with plates from the restaurant even though no paparazzi were present.
The two mega-stars headed back to their swank hotel together and entered through a private garage.
The Boots Girls got the scoop yesterday on the set of Public Enemies while they were filming a robbery scene at the Uptown National Bank in Chicago.
All of the film’s major players were on set, including Johnny Depp, Christian Bale, Stephen Dorff and Marion Cotillard.
Access to the set wasn’t easy, but The Boots Girls prevailed and we managed to get a tiny snippet of video so check it out!
The cast and crew just started back up with filming this week after a little bit of time off. “Johnny just got back from the Bahamas. He was there last weekend,” a source close to Depp told us. “He was planning on going home to L.A. but at the last minute changed his mind.” Our source told us Depp even took his driver, Buck, with him!
Dorff filmed a few scenes outside where a gaggle of girls had gathered. In typical I’m-such-a-hot-Hollywood-actor fashion Dorff waved and blew kisses to the ladies at every chance he got between takes. (*gag*)
“Stephen is really messy. He smokes in it when he’s not supposed to,” an on-set source told us about Dorff’s trailer. “He trashes it every night!”
Depp on the other hand is a little classier. It’s a known fact that almost every night after he’s done shooting he goes outside to shake hands and greet the fans that are waiting to catch a glimpse of the A-lister. Yesterday was no exception.
Another source told us that what you might not know is, “Before Johnny comes out to greet fans after filming he goes to his trailer to relax and share a bottle of wine with his little entourage.”
Depp was extremely gracious last night to the group of about 50 people waiting to say hi. Although he freely gave out hugs and handshakes, he refused to sign autographs. His bodyguard told us, “There have been too many professionals selling Johnny’s autograph and that’s not why he gives them.”
The Boots Girls will be on set all week, so stay tuned for more details!
