Move over Jon Gosselin — you’re not the only dad of eight!
Just call him Mel Plus Eight. Mel Gibson and his girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, gave birth to a baby girl Oct. 30, which has Gibson tallying in with eight kids now.
“Oksana Grigorieva and Mel Gibson welcomed the arrival of a baby girl named Lucia on Friday, Oct. 30, at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles,” his rep released in a statement. “No further details are available at this time.”
This is the first child Gibson, 53, and the Russian musician, 39, have together.
Gibson divorced his wife of 28 years, Robyn, who he has six sons and one daughter with, in April.
Gibson clearly got his girlfriend knocked up before his divorce was finalized. Classy move.

Rumor has it that Mel Gibson and girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva are expecting a baby.
Grigorieva’s pregnancy is in the second trimester, according to TMZ.com.
Mel reportedly hasn’t broken the news to estranged wife, Robyn, who recently filed for divorce, and their children.
Poor Robyn! This woman has endured enough - the least Mel could do is have the common courtesy of giving her the heads up so she doesn’t have to find out through the media!
Just two weeks after his wife filed for divorce, Mel Gibson made a rare public appearance with his new girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva last night at the L.A. industry screening for X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
“Mel has been single for almost three years and it’s nice to see him getting out and enjoying himself,” his rep told People.
The couple held hands and walked the red carpet before taking a seat inside the screening at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
“They came in quietly and as under the radar as they could and they were pretty low-key,” says a source. “Mel seemed very comfortable.”
Fox Chairman James Gianopoulos and Wolverine producers Richard and Lauren Donner and Hugh Jackman extended the invitation to Gibson.
Jackman even told the audience that he got inspiration for his character from Gibson’s role as Mad Max.

Mel Gibson’s new 24-year-old lover has come clean about their affair just days after Mel’s wife, Robyn, of 28 years filed for divorce.
Oksana Pochepa confirmed to Britain’s The Sun that she is the mysterious brunette photographed with Mel in Costa Rica, and that she has now fallen in love with him, stating “this is serious and I hope that our union will be real and strong and long-lasting.”
According to Us Weekly, the two met last August after Pochepa was hired to compose a song for Mel’s upcoming film, Edge of Darkness.
Additionally, a source from the set told Us“that the pair - who would spend entire days alone together in his trailer - always tried to be discreet about their relationship.”
“They would come out and attempt to walk around separately, but then at the end of the day, they both returned to the same hotel,” the on-set source stated. “She was there on and off for a week, but it was clear she had no business there other than to be with Mel.”
Well, this settles any speculation over the divorce. Mel’s a sleaze and we hope Robyn get’s her fair share of the 900 million!
After 28 years of marriage, Mel Gibson’s wife Robyn has filed for divorce.
Robyn cites “irreconcilable differences” in the divorce papers she signed April 9.
“Throughout our marriage and separation we have always strived to maintain the privacy and integrity of our family and will continue to do so,” a rep for Gibson tells Usmagazine.com in a statement.
TMZ.com reports “there is no prenuptial agreement” and in 2006, Gibson’s fortune was estimated at $900 million. Under California law, community property is divided 50/50.
Robyn has requested spousal support and attorneys’ fees. She also wants joint physical and legal custody of their son, Tom, who turns 10 Tuesday. Tom is their only child who is a minor - they have six other children who are all adults.

Mel Gibson says his pal and former neighbor Britney Spears is doing “great”.
“She’s great,” he told Usmagazine.com at the Ninth Annual Global Green Sustainable Design Awards in NYC on Wednesday. “She’s a sweet girl.”
Gibson, who has had issues with sobriety, reached out to Spears earlier this year during the height of her much-publicized public meltdown. In May, Spears and her father, Jamie, vacationed with the actor and his wife at his 400-acre ranch in Costa Rica in May.

However, the British paper the Mirror said Spears is planning on performing a “gospel-style number” for Mel and his parishioners at his church.
Gibson’s rep told TMZ there isn’t “an ounce of truth to it.”
