Colin Farrell recently split from novelist girlfriend Emma Forest, and he’s already got a new girl.
Colin and Keira Knightley have been preparing for the movie London Boulevard, and she’s apparently been consoling him since the break-up.
“Keira thought it would be helpful to speak to Colin about their parts but she has been trying to support him through girlfriend troubles,” a source told the Daily Express. “She says it has helped her understand the man she is going to play opposite and is delighted to have connected with him so well.”
In the movie, Colin will be playing an ex-convict who falls in love with Keira’s reclusive character, and they start filming next month.
“Keira can’t wait to start shooting as she has put in so much preparation for the part,” said the source. “She has felt lonely without much time with Rupert over the past few months as he has been busy promoting his new film ‘Young Victoria’ and - like Colin – can’t wait to absorb herself in the project.”
We’re sure these two will be dating before long. Stars always date when they work on movies together!
Most fans are held at bay during the Golden Globes, but one lucky Chicagoan got the opportunity to mingle among the stars!
Boots reader, Collin Gardiner, was in L.A. last Sunday staying at the Beverly Hills Hilton and he had the chance to meet and greet with celebs at the Globes.
“They were all really friendly and willing to stop and take pictures” Gardiner said of stars like Anne Hathaway, Colin Farrell, Heidi KlumFreida Pinto and Dev Patel. “When I would take a picture with one of them, they would ask if I wanted a picture with one of their friends as well.”
“Everyone was just hanging out enjoying themselves. It was just really chill” Collin continues.
Damn, even The Boots Girls don’t get that up close and personal with that many celebs in one night usually. If you need a job Collin, you’re hired!
The 66th annual Golden Globes were surprisingly a little more entertaining than usual with bad jokes, drug references, celebrity disses and salty speeches!
- Colin Farrell sniffed on stage at the show and said it was cold and he wasn’t sniffling ‘‘for the reasons I used to.’’ Ha!
- Seth Rogen joked about doing cocaine with Mickey Rourke, and Sacha Baron Cohen noted that even Madonna has felt the impact of these hard economic times and it lead her to dumping many assistants — “Guy Ritchie.” Double ouch!
- During Tina Fey’s acceptance speech she told on-line haters to “suck it!”“If you ever start to feel too good about yourself, they have this thing called the Internet,” Fey said. “You can find a lot of people there who don’t like you.” Then she went on to tell them that they can suck it! You tell ‘em Tina!
- The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan accepted a posthumous best supporting actor Golden Globe for Heath Ledger’s role as The Joker which comes almost a full year after his tragic death. Definitely the most touching moment of the evening.
- When 30 Rock won for best TV comedy series, Tracy Morgan joked ‘‘Tina Fey told me if Barack Obama won I’d speak for the show from now on — so look at the new face of TV!.”
- Kate Winslet was clearly the belle of the ball last night nabbing two Golden Globes - one for best supporting actress for The Reader and the second for best actress in Revolutionary Road.
- A giddy Drew Barrymore sported a bob straight from Revolutionary Road. Not sure what happy pills she was taking, but we’re guessing it was the endless supply of champagne!
- Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie dissed E!’sRyan Seacrest by cruising right by him as he tried to interview them for the pre-show!
- Finally, did anyone find it ironic that when Jake Gyllenhaal talked about The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, starring Brad Pitt, he insisted that it is a film that celebrates that youth is not wasted on the young? We thought it was a strange choice of words to use for Pitt’s film considering that his ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, has said in several recent interviews that ” the youth is wasted on the young”!
Colin Farrell was known for his hard partying ways until he did six weeks of rehab in 2005. Before that, Colin said on the BBC he’d been “drunk or high since I was 14.” The Irishman also added, “I was fairly drunk for 16 years and [sobering up] was a tough life-change, but I was dying.
“And I’m one of the lucky ones, because — so far — I’ve got out of it.”
Colin continued to make films during those rough times, but it wasn’t easy.
“When I think of the work I did, I was struggling so hard just to keep my sh*t together,” he admitted. “A lot of my energy was going into not having a complete melt-down.”
When Heath Ledger passed away at the beginning of the year Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law completed Ledger’s role as Tony in his final film, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus.
The three actors found out that Ledger’s final will did not include his daughter Matilda because it had not been updated, so the A-listers all donated their pay from the movie to his two year-old daughter!
“They didn’t take money — it goes to Heath’s daughter,” Director Terry Gilliam said according to The Sun. “That’s extraordinary! And wonderful…and when you’re part of that, you think, ‘Ah, this is maybe why I went into the movies in the beginning. I thought it would be full of wonderful people.’”
That’s for sure! What Depp, Farrell and Law did was an extraordinary act of kindness. “We’ve got a movie full of wonderful people who did extraordinary things to help,” Gilliam added.
Colin Farrell is one of three actors, along with Johnny Depp and Jude Law that will be splitting the remains of Heath Ledger’s role in The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus.
Farrell told Sydney’s Herald Sun he “will be honored to be part of that.”
“It makes me feel uncomfortable to think about it too much and to get into it really here but it’s an incredibly painful honor to have, you know, and an honor I wish wasn’t bestowed but an honor none-the-less,” Farrell added.
“It’s about getting Heath’s work out there, get his work out there, he’s too good for any of his work not to be seen, you know, and I’m really keen and looking forward to doing it and just doing the best job I can do,” Farrell said.
Mary-Kate Olsen stopped by the Conair booth at Sundance over the weekend where she picked up a ton of free swag.
Sources from Conair say she wasn’t responsive when they talked to her and she appeared to be “looking right through them.” Maybe she was too busy daydreaming about the new object of her affection, Colin Farrell.
Not only that, but Olsen refused to take any pictures. MK didn’t seem too reluctant to take a picture with Farrell the other night!

Olsen and Colin Farrell were photographed hanging out together at the premiere party for In Bruges at The Lift in Park City for the Sundance Film Festival Thursday night.
She told E! Online that she went to that party to say hello to Farrell.
Well, I was supposed to interview Farrell last night at his premiere party for Kicking It at Greenhouse at the Top of Main and that never happened thanks to Mary-Kate. I think…
Sources told me Farrell wouldn’t do the interview because he’s so annoyed that reporters keep asking him if he’s dating Olsen since he snapped a photo with her the other night. They insist he’s not, and that he’s not interested. The same can’t be said about MK.
I may not have gotten my interview, but I did get to witness MK on a love mission. Olsen popped up at the U2 party last night specifically “to see Colin”, according to a source.
Personnel escorted Olsen to a table that was two shy of Farrell’s. The only problem…Farrell had left! After Olsen had realized he was long gone, she bolted.
That girl stayed just long enough to take a swig of Red Bull.
Check out this video of Mary-Kate Olsen booking out of the U2 late-night party at Greenhouse at Top of the Main in Sundance Saturday night after she realizes her new lover boy left. Mind you at this point, U2 was rumored to go on at any second. I mean how dare she leave before Bono takes stage, WTF! She was standing right next to me, I witnessed the whole incident firsthand.
It’s nice to know us Boots Girls aren’t the only stalkers out there!
