We saw a much different and better Britney Spears at tonight’s MTV VMA’s than we did last year. Spears not only left the show with her head up, but she also took home her first-ever Moonman.
A healthy and beautiful looking Spears opened the show by announcing it’s 25th anniversary at the Paramount Studios set.
“I’m here tonight to celebrate a very important birthday. This is the 25th Video Music Awards – and it starts right now,” a nervous looking Spears said in a silver Versace dress.
Even though Spears has been nominated for 16 Moonmen, the pop star won her first tonight for best female video for her song Piece of Me. A humble Spears gave a brief speech, thanking God for “just blessing me like this” and thanked her beautiful family including her two sons who she said “inspire me everyday” and dedicated the award to her fans. “This is for you,” Spears said.
Spears attended the awards show with her manager Larry Rudolph.
Britney Spears has been working her little pop butt off in hopes of making a comeback and she just might get it.
Spears is planning on shooting the music video for her new single Radar in London, England and her former manager Larry Rudolph told the New York Post, “The theme is her and her girlfriends are going to be looking all around London trying to find a boy who she met in a club. Every time they think they have him, it’s someone else. She will be behind the camera as much as possible; she wants to make sure it’s exactly right.”
Britney still has a large fan-base and it seems like most people are rooting her on.
“She’s in an amazing position for a comeback right now. She could end up being the biggest comeback in history,” Rudolph exclaimed.
Britney Spears’ former manager, Larry Rudolph, talked to Extra last night about his rekindled relationship with Spears.
Rudolph, who hadn’t seen Spears in over a year, recently visited her and believes she’s much happier. He said, “After spending a few days with her this past week, we didn’t talk about anything professional…sitting and talking with her…I think she’s doing great. Her father is doing a great job with her and she’s in a great place right now.”
As for a potential Spears comeback, Rudolph said, “People love her. They really love her. People understand what she’s been through at this point. People want to see her come back. I think she’ll get it together. And I think she’ll have a huge career again. I think she’s going to make the biggest comeback in history.”
Ummm…that’s what everyone was saying almost two years ago when Spears reunited with Rudolph the first time and made a surprise visit on the Late Show with David Letterman.
The New York Post is reporting that Britney Spears fired her manager Larry Rudolph. She is apparently furious Rudolph introduced her to Paris Hilton and forced her into rehab. This is the SECOND time Spears has fired Rudolph.
Spears is notorious for firing her handlers on a whim. That’s part of the problem. Spears does not have anyone around her to tell her no!
