Aerosmith Cancels Rest Of Tour!

Aerosmith announced Thursday that the rest of their summer tour is dunzo!

The news comes more than a week after the band’s lead singer Steven Tyler fell off the stage in South Dakota, according to CNN.com.

“Due to injuries Steven Tyler sustained last week when he fell from the stage during a concert in Sturgis, South Dakota, doctors have advised the lead singer to take the time to properly recuperate from the accident that resulted in a broken shoulder and stitches to his head,” the band said in a statement.

Tyler dropped to the floor at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in western South Dakota while dancing during Love in an Elevator. Hmm, was he not paying attention when he approached the end of the stage? You’d think he’d be extra cautious after already falling earlier on this tour.

“Words can’t express the sadness I feel for having to cancel this tour,” said guitarist Joe Perry. “We hope we can get the Aerosmith machine up and running again as soon as possible.”

“We never anticipated this tour coming to such a swift and unfortunate ending,” guitarist Brad Whitford said. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to Steven for a speedy recovery and return to good health.”

We’re glad we didn’t waste money buying tickets to the show!

Aersomith Rocks

Aw hell yeah, get ready to Walk this Way everyone, because Aerosmith is getting ready to head back into the recording studio!

Drummer Joey Kramer wrote in a blog post on AeroForceOne.com that the rockin’ band has been rehearsing and can’t wait to get back into the studio and more importantly, get back on the road!

Check it out:

Happy New Year! Today is the first day tom and I are getting back together. We just rehearsed for 2 hours and it feels so good! We can’t wait to get back into the studio and get back out on the road to do what we do best.

We’ll check in from time to time and give you progress on how things are going.

Until then…be well and Happy New Year!

Joey and Tom!

Amen!

Aerosmith Update!

As I reported, the Aerosmith concert was canceled Monday night at the Allstate Arena in Chicago.

The Allstate Arena’s Web site cited an “illness” as the reason for the cancellation. My source says that they cancelled because Steven Tyler has an ulcerated eye.

However, he is OK. Tyler was well enough to dine with his daughter at Bank Lane Bistro in Lake Forest on Monday night. I am also hearing some of the other band members did make it to Chicago as well.

We hope you guys reschedule soon!

Is Aerosmith OK?

I was stuck in traffic yesterday afternoon headed to the Aerosmith concert at the Allstate Arena in Chicago when my friend (who is close with the band) called to tell me they canceled their show.

There are rumors that someone in the band is ill. However, no one seems to know for sure what is going on.

The band was scheduled to arrive in the Windy City yesterday morning and never made it.

All the members of the band looked healthy when they attended the 4th Annual Fashion Rocks at Radio City Music Hall last Thursday in New York City and the band performed in Detroit on Saturday night.

Story developing…
