Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet are lending a helping hand to the last Titanic survivor.

The Titanic stars, along with director James Cameron, have contributed to a $30,000 fund for a 98-year-old woman who can’t afford to pay her nursing home bills, according to Access Hollywood.

The celebrities came forward to help Millvina Dean after an appeal by photographer Don Mullan in the Sunday edition of the Irish Independent.

Millvina was the youngest passenger on the Titanic at the age of 9 weeks old and is now it’s last remaining survivor living in Southampton, England.

It’s nice Kate & Leo are helping the last survivor considering that their blockbuster hit on the tragedy catapulted both of their careers in Hollywood to the next level!

Kate Predicts Her Oscar Win

February 23rd, 2009

Turns out Kate Winslet knew she would win an Oscar for The Reader before she even took on the role. In 2005, she appeared on the comedy series Extras.

“I don’t think we need another film about the Holocaust, do we?” she said. “It’s like, how many have there been? We get it. It was grim. Move on. No, I’m doing it because I’ve noticed that if you do a film about the Holocaust, [you're] guaranteed an Oscar. I’ve been nominated four times—never won. The whole world is going, ‘Why hasn’t Winslet won one?’ That’s it. That’s why I’m doing it. Schindler’s bloody List. The Pianist. Oscars coming out of their ass!”

Good call Kate! Your plan worked!

Oprah to Kate Winslet: “God Bless Your Real Breasts!”

January 13th, 2009

Oprah Winfrey Kate Winslet

Golden Girl Kate Winslet, Leonardo DiCaprio and a few other Hollywood A-listers were guests for a lively post-Golden Globes Oprah show today.

Oprah kicked off a live show today with several of this year’s Golden Globes nominees and winners including Winslet, DiCaprio, Mickey Rourke, Ron Howard and Meryl Streep and announced: “Is this not one of the best years we have had in movies?”

O was in rare form for her interview with Winslet, where she didn’t hold back to talk about how she noticed that Winslet has real breasts from watching her in The Reader.

“I love that u have real breasts,” Oprah told Kate. “When your laying down, real breasts, they part! God bless your real breasts!”

Kate went on to talk about how she’s shocked that she was nominated at all and how she has never won in the past.

“I’m still really in shock to be nominated at all in my lifetime,” Winslet said. “I had been nominated in the past and have never won.”

Kate went on to talk about how she’s still shaking and has been since she woke up Golden Globe Sunday.

“I’m still shaking,” Winslet said. “I woke up shaking the morning of the golden globes and I’m still shaking.”

DiCaprio skyped in during the show and publicly congratulated his co-star.

“In a lot of ways, we have grown up in this industry together,” DiCaprio said. “She was going to be the most nominated actress of all time without winning. Thank God she did!”

In a revealing moment during O’s interview with Streep, Oprah said that she called the director of Doubt and asked him if she could be in the film and he told her “no!”

However, the best part of the show was probably when Oprah belted out a high pitched note when Winslet first walked on stage.

She gave a high pitched sustained “laaaaaaaaaaaaaa” for Kate and a big “woooooooooooooooooooooooh” when she introduced Streep! She also sang about Barack Obama’s inauguration. “It’s almost seven more daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaysss,” she sang!

Damn, I want to know what happy pills she’s taking! I see her new rigorous workout regimen with Bob Greene has really brought her Serotonin levels up!

Hooooooollllllllllaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Golden Globes Girl Kate Winslet Hits Chicago!

January 12th, 2009

Kate Winslet Chicago

Kate Winslet just landed in the Windy City!

The Golden Globe mega-star arrived at O’Hare airport just after 10 p.m.. Fans greeted the two-time winner from the awards show last night at the airport where she seemed to still be on cloud nine about her big win!

“She was friendly and signed autographs for us,” a fan told The Boots Girls. However, her publicist…not so much.

“When we tried to ask Kate about her big Golden Globes win, her publicist got in our faces and cut us off,” the witness said. “Kate wanted to sign more autographs, but her rep wouldn’t let her!”

Why is it that most publicists have to have sticks up their a**es! Seriously, they are the most miserable people on earth!

Kate is scheduled to appear on Oprah tomorrow and we are hearing that Leonardo DiCaprio we’ll go on the show with her. It’s snowing hardcore in Chicago right now, so we’re glad she made it in safely!

Check back for more Kate updates!

Golden Globes Highlights

January 12th, 2009

Golden Globes Kate Winslet Black Dress

The 66th annual Golden Globes were surprisingly a little more entertaining than usual with bad jokes, drug references, celebrity disses and salty speeches!

- Colin Farrell sniffed on stage at the show and said it was cold and he wasn’t sniffling ‘‘for the reasons I used to.’’ Ha!

- Seth Rogen joked about doing cocaine with Mickey Rourke, and Sacha Baron Cohen noted that even Madonna has felt the impact of these hard economic times and it lead her to dumping many assistants — “Guy Ritchie.” Double ouch!

- During Tina Fey’s acceptance speech she told on-line haters to “suck it!” “If you ever start to feel too good about yourself, they have this thing called the Internet,” Fey said. “You can find a lot of people there who don’t like you.” Then she went on to tell them that they can suck it! You tell ‘em Tina!

- The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan accepted a posthumous best supporting actor Golden Globe for Heath Ledger’s role as The Joker which comes almost a full year after his tragic death. Definitely the most touching moment of the evening.

- When 30 Rock won for best TV comedy series, Tracy Morgan joked ‘‘Tina Fey told me if Barack Obama won I’d speak for the show from now on — so look at the new face of TV!.”

- Kate Winslet was clearly the belle of the ball last night nabbing two Golden Globes - one for best supporting actress for The Reader and the second for best actress in Revolutionary Road.

- A giddy Drew Barrymore sported a bob straight from Revolutionary Road. Not sure what happy pills she was taking, but we’re guessing it was the endless supply of champagne!

- Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie dissed E!’s Ryan Seacrest by cruising right by him as he tried to interview them for the pre-show!

- Finally, did anyone find it ironic that when Jake Gyllenhaal talked about The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, starring Brad Pitt, he insisted that it is a film that celebrates that youth is not wasted on the young? We thought it was a strange choice of words to use for Pitt’s film considering that his ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, has said in several recent interviews that ” the youth is wasted on the young”!

Kate Winslet’s Talks About Her Sexy Body!

January 2nd, 2009

Kate Winslet Body Shot

Kate Winslet is dishing to Elle about her hot body.

The star is married to director Sam Mendes and recently stripped down in his movie Revolutionary Road with Leonardo DiCaprio.

“I am pretty average,” she told UK’s February Elle. “I have cellulite, I don’t go to the gym because I don’t have time but I do Pilates work out DVDs for 20 minutes or more everyday at home.”

As for her diet, she says she eats sensibly and doesn’t “stuff down chocolate biscuits.”

Good for you Kate! We like it when celebs are real and not super skinny. She is a perfect example of how a woman can be curvy and beautiful.

Titanic Stars Together Again!

December 16th, 2008

Leonardo DiCaprio Kate Winslet Revolutionary Road Los Angeles Premiere

Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio looked hotter than ever together for their red carpet reunion at last night’s Revolutionary Road premiere in Los Angeles.

The flick is about a young couple living in a Connecticut suburb during the mid-1950s who struggle to come to terms with their personal problems while trying to raise their two children, according to IMDB.com.

They were great together in Titanic; however, I don’t find the trailer for their new film too appealing!
