Amber Frey’s Bad Judgement Strikes Again!
September 25th, 2008
The former mistress of convicted killer Scott Peterson, Amber Frey, has run into problems again. This time her loss is more substantial, because instead of losing a sociopath loser boyfriend, she’s losing her home.
Three years ago Frey bought a two-story traditional house in Northern California for $539,000. Then she took out an adjustable rate mortgage and saw her payments soar to $1,600 a month. Frey is now more than $20,000 behind on those payments and her house is in foreclosure.
That’s pretty pathetic considering all the money she received from her book deal to tell her story, the press she’s done and her appearances. It’s not like she had any legal fees from the trial, because her top defense attorney, Gloria Allred, worked for her pro bono.
Frey spoke exclusively with Inside Edtion today about her ordeal. Here are her statements:
“I know I don’t walk in this alone….I know there are millions of other people in the same shoes.”
Frey said the decision came down to keeping her business or her home.
“It came down to either I keep my business or I keep my home…My choice was to keep my business because that’s what is ultimately going to put food on my table.”
Frey, whose auction did not receive a single buyer and now awaits the banks next move, said she gets upset when people assume she had enough money from her book and appearances.
“I have a family. I have a business. You know, it takes resources to be able to live.”
Right. Well, I highly doubt that the money from her book deal wasn’t enough to pay off her house in FULL! I’d be interested to know what kind of resources she’s referring to in order to live. Designer clothes? Diamonds? Fancy cars?
